I received my replacement today totally intact. The battery compartment was a complete mess and I had to clean all the contacts to get the lights to work. Other than that no problems, and the piece looks great.

By the way... I got back #132/600.

#285 for me

My replacement came today and the shield is busted again. The return dept said something about possibly shipping uohild "kit" with a new shield, some epoxy, and instructions on how to remove the old one and replace it.

I'm beyond pissed right now. I have half a mind to tell them to _____* themselves and just getting a refund. Do I really want this piece that bad; to go through all this?

I am also thinking of canceling this piece (have to wait for a replacement). It's cool looking but I am losing interest in it.

Sigh, they got back to me today on my 2nd return to tell me that my next replacement won't be in until April most likely.

The only solace I take in this is that I know that them having to go back into production for this piece means that someone at SS is getting their ass chewed. NO MORE GLUING FRAGILE PIECES TO THE BASES!

Hopefully since they are back into production they will do some light re-tooling and make the shield detachable. I can only hope!
