Wow, I never expected to see this. I wonder if they'll be doing a new Rei and Asuka, and, if so, if they'll be closer to 1:6. Unlike most Medi figures, I'm pretty sure Rei and Asuka are not 1:6.

It's because of the second rebuild movie.Maybe they will also do Kaworu (or the new female pilot).A school clothes Shinji can be done like a mail-away maybe.

Just noticed the Evangelion 2.0 logo. We won't be getting 1.0 in the States until November.

I'm guessing though that the new movies mean new merchandise, so revisits to Rei and Asuka are probably likely.

I say before more Rei and Asuka figures, give me Gendo! And Misato! And I'll need a Kaji to go with my Misato...

Missed this thread completely!!! Finally! 1/6 Shinji Akari. It's in Medicoms newsletter today. Guess he's up for pre order, but as an Project 1/6 exclusive item. You must log in to reserve the figure...
Anyone here knows how Medicom handles these exclusive items? Will they be offered elsewhere? Or is this just for the Japanese?


It's clearly from the new movie, but I'm sure he'll fit perfectly with the 1/6 scale Asuka's and Rei's Medicom has released some years ago.

I get ALL my Medicom stuff from etoysjapan. Willy is a great guy and usually gets everything, including the limited and mail order items. He ships quickly and has relatively fair prices.

He doesn't have Shinji up for sale yet, but he should in a few days. I got both Seiji Hokuto and Ace Killer (Ultraman Ace characters) from him in record time and for a great a price. They're both selling for quite a bit more on ebay and they just came out.

Anyway, I can't say enough about Willy and his site.

Took medi sometime to get this one out and im not feeling the scuplt that muchnot the price tag.

Be great if it came with a Shinji freaked out face, massive eyes style.

Suit look really nice straight off the screen with those nice clean lines and the shoulder look better than the Rei and Asuka

Takara are releasing a Asuka, reckon a 2.0 version since it meant to be released this year.

Really looking forward to 2.0 new girl character and EVA 2 redesign and freaking EVA 3+4 get a looking.

Medicom is bringing out a new version of Rei Ayanami as well. She's already up for sale at the usual Japanese sites. As far as i could tell, the face sculpt seems to be unchanged, but the uniform/armor has undergone some changes. The lose shoulder armor has been replaced by a design on the sleeve it seems. The collar is different from the original release and there's also a small red ball on her chest, which wasn't there on the first version.
So, .... wonder when we'll see the new Asuka!
