I haven't seen it yet. Last I heard, the distributer with the US rights has no plans to release the first film until November. Also no word on if the original US cast will be reassembled or not.

Regarding the new Rei, the plug suit seems way too loose, especially the backside...

Then my next question is.... Has anyone seen these? And are they worth watching?

I've seen the first film, they reworked some of the animation with nicer graphics etc, added a little extra footage here n there.

Overall, I think it was just ok. I felt that by compressing a few episodes into one movie removed some of the character's characterization, in particularly for Shinji & Rei.

The only good thing was Shinji is not as whiney as he was in the series...but I think I still preferred him being a whiney kid

Yup, I was very relieved when I was told I'd be getting them back. Had I canceled the figure, I would've been ^^^^ outta luck.
