Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

This is the T-800's theme in T2, not dundun-dun-dundun as so many people (and the makers of T:Salvation and T:Genisys) seem to think

Definitely. Stupid McG for starting the trend of the main title being Arnold's "theme." As I said before imagine if for Episode VIII every time Luke Skywalker does something the speakers blare the opening scroll Star Wars theme. :duh

Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

Playing that theme when Arnold appears isn't completely ludicrous. That theme is what everyone hears when they think of The Terminator films, and Arnold is THE Terminator so....:dunno. I get that it seems super gimmicky though, so I'm not a huge fan of seeing it played when he appears either. I'm surprised Mcg gets so much hate. Fans were clearly expecting something more along the lines of T1 and T2. It wasn't the greatest, but I at least give him props for telling his own story. There are a lot of cool aspects about the film. Bale as Connor, Worthington, and even Antons Reese was pretty good. The designs were all top notch. Getting to see the T-600's for the first time, the moto terminators, and the hydro bots were all pretty neat. Arnold's T-800 cameo was cool as well.Hell, I even enjoyed Elfmans weird soundtrack.

Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

The poster is.. okay. He looks conflicted by having both the shotgun and bandolier and I'm pretty sure that's not Arnold's hand. The expression doesn't evoke anything either but who cares, so long as the 3D conversion is great!

Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

I hope NECA can now go into more detail about what they have in store. John Connor, please for the love of god. What better time is there gonna be than this.

Beats the odds of getting another Terminator figure from Marvel, I mean, DC, I mean Hot Toys.

Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

It's not my favorite Terminator, but if it hits my theater I'm DEFINITELY seeing it. I've only had the "privilege" of seeing T3 and TS in the theater.

You can do a lot worse than being a T2 fanboy so that's not bad at all. I do agree that T1 is infinitely better than T2 but compared to most action flicks, T2 still has them beat.

I've said it many times before, but I never considered T3, TS and TG to exist. I have nothing from those movie be it toys, posters or DVDs because I consider them blasphemy. Only T1, T2 and TSCC and the rest are just plain pathetic. :lol

I can understand why T2 is peoples favorite, and I used to be one of them. But the last few years T1 has been on Netflix a lot... and I've watched it numerous times and it's really changed my opinion from when I was a kid. I love that it's a darker film, and it was the only "scary" Terminator in all the films. T-1000 had a bit of that, but Arnie's cold intense demeanor wins it over for me. Plus, he rips hearts out :lecture

Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

T1 has always been my favorite. T2 is fantastic but I miss the terror of the first one. I don't need my Terminator neutered and cracking jokes. I want to **** my pants when he shows up.

Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

I also love the T1 OST more, since it has all those dark and brooding synth themes. But, I do love the T2 main theme.

It didn't even occur to me to mention them. I assume they're done with Terminator other than that Genisys Endo which I will be passing on.

Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

If I go see T2 in 3D that would put my theatrical viewings at 8 which would then put it ahead of the Star Wars and FOTR. I think I'll have to pass on principle. :lol

Re: The "All things Terminator" thread.

They should do a special screening nite T1 and then T2 in 3D. I never saw T1 in theaters, rented it on Betamax!!!

I saw T1 in a cinema for the first time last year. Wasn't exactly packed out with people but in my experience in Ireland even brand new blockbuster releases don't reach anything close to capacity anymore.
