References to androgynous thing are getting a bit old at this point but he points out what I've also commented on - that these trailers keep showing the villain getting his ass kicked. Not really doing a good job of showing him as a credible threat to the heroes.

The "All things TERMINATOR" thread.

That video was not only hilarious it was spot on even the part where he called out Sarah for hogging the victory spotlight ouch.

To be fair, I totally forgot about Miles Dyson's sacrifice. I guess he's the Winston of T2. :chase

OK, you get points for using Terminator font

:lol

"You changed our future, but not our fate."

Indeed. With that "fate" referring of course to another unfinished trilogy.

You mean you don't think rehashing another time travel plot, re-gendering characters and renaming signature components of existing lore but keeping their goals the same will be the kind of 'update' that ensures the future longevity of the franchise? All while maintaining the same increasingly OTT cartoon action that people have complained about in the last 3 installments for the way it departs from the more grounded and real stuntwork of the first two movies?

I'll have what you're smoking Khev!

You have two choices with these old franchises, keep them true to their origins regardless of today’s audience demand and take your chances, or try to cater them to the modern market and take your chances.

Unfortunately, Terminator seems to opt for the latter, which alienates the fan base and even fails with the target audience. You’d think after T4 and T5 did that, they’d come to the conclusion that you might as well satisfy the fan base and at least succeed with them, either way you’re not really appealing to a new audience.

And I love how they're running with the "Judgment Day is inevitable" angle regardless of who lives and who dies. Um okay so if everything is inevitable why fight at all? The bombs will still fall, the machines will rise, humans defeat them. If they stop the T-Juan-Thousand then so what since another one will take his place. If they girl dies then so what since apparently when you kill a future savior then another one takes *its* place too. Just put down your shotgun, max out your credit cards and fly to Italy because obviously nothing matters.

That’s where T4 and T5 were smart, instead of saying nothing can ever stop judgment day, T4 went future world and T5 replayed the past with a twist without taking value away from the fight.

T3 and T6 are saying you can’t stop it, change it, delay it, one way or another it’s coming and all you can do is prepare for it and face it when it arrives.

Just needed to post this in here. Chronicle just revealed their new Conan sculpt. I plan on getting some extras to do a nice Tech Noir, the one we should have got from Ulli. Might even get it haired like he did with one of his.
