The "All things TERMINATOR" thread.

Terminator: Dark Fate star Linda Hamilton has revealed she was made to wear bottom and breast padding for the latest movie - despite working out and dieting a year before shooting began.

Hamilton said: ?I Leaned out, worked for a year. Didn?t have carbohydrates for a year, then I show up on set and they were like ?well we have to build you a butt? - which is interesting after a year of working out and leaning down they had to actually add ass.

?I would take pictures of my t**s and a** when I would get up in the morning and I?d get into my trailer and send it to my kids - t**s, a**

The star also revealed she ignored calls from the movie?s producer James Cameron, who she was married to in the 1990s, until he made it clear he wanted to discuss the work.

?We don?t talk at all. He rang three times and it was only on the third call when he mentioned it was about work that I rang him back!?

She added: ?It took me a little while to decide if I had something more to do with her character.?

Sounds like she added some ass.

Which is shocking considering this movie already seems quite full of it.

Could be the new 'America's ass'.

So the movie where the director said "If you?re a closet misogynist, she?ll scare the f-k out of you" about.... forced the female lead to augment her breasts and butt?!

Umm... wtf?:rotfl

He adds: "she's tough and strong but very feminine. We did not trade certain gender traits for others"

Certain gender traits.:lol

And the kicker is that on the Graham Norton show, Arnie ends it all with: "Linda set the bar high for all female action roles. She really is a bad ass!"

Maybe he meant "has a bad ass.":lecture

I'm curious why they felt the need to give LH the boob and butt help. I mean she's 63.

How this wouldn't trigger a backlash I have no idea.

This is from 20 years ago (which also seems to dismiss these news stories of the past few years about Rey and female heroes):

20 years from now the world will never have to worry again about bringing anyone back from 80?s cinema.

All of them will be dead lol

Terminator Woke.

Early reviews.

"ERMINATOR?s thought of as Arnold?s franchise. DARK FATE makes it clear he wasn?t the key ingredient that made it work. It was Linda Hamilton. She?s incredible in this, and the movie?s very solid. (I recently defended all the TERMINATOR sequels, so make of this what you will.)"

"Excited to report Terminator: Dark Fate is the best sequel in the franchise since T2. It's a "return to basics" movie ? reminiscent of Star Wars: The Force Awakens in that way ? but the new heroes are fantastic, it's great to see the legends kicking ass, and the action is great."

"Terminator: Dark Fate is basically Terminator: The Force Awakens. A satisfying, exciting reboot that?s essentially the best parts of T1 & T2 in a blender. Davis, Reyes & Hamilton are excellent, the action wows & while it?s familiar, it?s easily the best T3 yet. Terminator is back"

"I was skeptical of TERMINATOR: DARK FATE. Thought the trailers were not great. But I would up enjoying it quite a bit, and the difference maker (vs the other post T2 sequels) is Linda Hamilton. It?s always been HER story and Hamilton adds the needed weight here."

"I've been a fan of Mackenzie Davis since seeing her in 'Halt and Catch Fire'. But she takes it to another level in #TerminatorDarkFate where she kicks all kinds of ass. If you like her work in Dark Fate, go back and watch #HaltandCatchFire."

"PSA for my queer ladies: you are not prepared for how much Mackenzie Davis is going to **** up your life in #TerminatorDarkFate. I would die for Grace and you would too, you just don?t know it yet.
Oh the film, you ask? It?s solid. Super well articulated action. Linda Hamilton is aces. Easily the best sequel since T2. #DarkFate takes The Force Awakens? ?if it ain?t broke, don?t fix it? mentality to Cameron?s films and turns out it ain?t broke."

I think its the new insult. You know: Your work is so TFA. (meaning pedestrian, recycled and uninspired)

I'm eager for the new insult of 2022: Your work is so Avatar.
