If one of them rip it I'm not driving them back to their house.

That's so cool......they get to see these two masterpieces for the first time on the big screen so many years later. I hope they can appreciate T1 even though its special effects are so dated. I hate when I hear people say, "that looks so fake".

I love that eye surgery puppet. It's creepy as ****.

Oh man, do I want this?

Well, the Sideshow arm literally cost an arm nowadays so a good repaint can make this look really exceptional. As long as it doesn't turn out crap like the Endoskull Skynet blu ray that is.

My custom made diorama (not made by me) of an emotional goodbye in T2. 60 cm tall. Not the best photos but I can live with it. "it has to end here... or I am the future."

Very cool looking! (or is it hot?) I'd weather the DX13 if I'd go so far to make a diorama, he looks 10x better with proper weathering.

James Cameron’s Terminator Trilogy Reboot – Arnold Will Pass Baton to New Characters

Well, Jim Cameron will do what he wants to do because he is after all James Cameron but it was always an option to introduce new characters and how better than to “pass the baton”.

But now, ahead of 3D theatre re-release of T2 next month, Cameron says he is in negotiations to oversee a new “three-film arc” if the ongoing issues with the rights to the franchise can be resolved. The rights to make the films have changed several times since the release of the first film, but under US copyright law some rights will revert to Cameron in 2019. Schwarzenegger would be involved “to some extent” in the proposed trilogy but the plan would be to introduce new characters to “pass the baton”.

Hmmmm…

“The question is — has the franchise run its course or can it be freshened up?,” says Cameron. “Can it still have relevance now where so much of our world is catching up to what was science fiction in the first two films. We live in a world of predator drones and surveillance and big data and emergent AI (artificial intelligence).

“So I am in discussions with David Ellison, who is the current rights holder globally for the Terminator franchise and the rights in the US market revert to me under US copyright law in a year and a half so he and I are talking about what we can do. Right now we are leaning toward doing a three-film arc and reinventing it.”

“We’ll put more meat on the bones if we get past the next couple of hurdles as and when we announce that.”

So, this doesn’t look like a true Terminator 2 Sequel and it is a reboot. It may or may not keep T1 and T2 in the canon but… this is still technically a reboot.

“I think it’s fairly widely known that I don’t have a lot of respect for the films that were made later,” Cameron says. “I was supportive at the time in each case for Arnold’s sake because he is a close friend. He has been a mate of mine since 33 years ago so I was always supportive and never too negative. But they didn’t work for me for various reasons.”

I see the only way for Cameron to direct another Terminator film is a total reboot for the franchise, Imo the original Terminator mythos had been done to death and was becoming utterly confusing by Genisys. That usually happens though in sci-fi, time travelling franchises, various story arc conflicts etc. I think Salvation was better then 3 or G because did not really distort the Terminator story line too much. That being said it may well of been just another post apocalyptic action film with some Terminators thrown in for good measure.

Bit unnecessary IMO. Too late for a real sequel and after the last few films I'm not sure I'd want to see another set. Even if he went ahead and they turned out okay it still wouldn't touch the original two.

Sooo....a three film arc. Why did no one ever think of that before.....

:lol

There's the retraction of his Genisys praise, as we were all expecting.
