So basically, even if Mark Webb does a great job, the 3rd movie will be handed off to another director for the chance to get Iron Man 3'd or Spiderman 3'd? Webb has to make two movies for fox so i don't know if getting excited for the future movies is a good idea at the moment...

I could be wrong but i don't know....

Raimi "directed" Spiderman 3?
:dunno

I asked if he has already signed on to direct The Amazing Spider-Man 3, Webb said:

“I’m incredibly excited about the possibility of a third movie. I had a blast making this and working with Andrew and Emma has been one of the great delights of my career, and Sally and Jamie and Dane and Chris. It’s really, really fun and it’d be hard to resist not doing it again.”

I'm sure he can fit at least one of those movies inbetween Spidermen.

If ASM2 goes over really well, Sony might buy out his contract with Fox so as to keep him for the quadrilogy.

Tobeyface! I guess it didn't matter more to me because the Raimi films had a much lighter touch to begin with. Though SM3 did have a marked increase in TF along with alot of other crappy things that helped make it garbage. Garfield might not have the same epic level of ugly facial contortions, but he portrays Peter waaaaay to self obsessed and douchy. We'll see if he can keep it lighter this time around.

********* like letting Pa Kent die in a tornado or ****** bag like blowing peoples heads and chests open with repulsor gloves while you make jokes?

By comparison Peter left Captain Stacey alone to fend for himself, an armed police captain, while he saved hundreds of thousands of lives. :dunno He certainly was the most heroic and least jaded of this most recent batch of comic flicks.

Because being an ******* to your aunt who's worried about you and a smartassed prick to cops who're trying to catch someone breaking the law doesn't make you a *********? :lol

Peters a douch to the cops. No secret there. He smart talks and troll the cops in every comic he's in. Have you read Ultimate spiderman? He cussed out his Uncle and was very defiant when he first got his powers. He would ALWAYS make his Aunt worry to the point where she had a heart attack. In an old issue spiderman was fighting the green goblin while his aunt was in the hospital.

Spiderman isnt a perect hero. Thats whats so great about him. He learns through his mistakes and tries so hard to make things perfect when in the end they turn out worse.
Thats just spiderman. He's not always happy and skipping down the street to Raindrops are falling on my head.

He **** talks the cops, bullies his enemies and worries his aunt. Thats the character.

This spiderman comes off as a douch because of his style and how he carries himself like some punk snobby kid.

No, just a brooding ********* without Spidey's trademark self awareness and light humor.

- MOS is another can of douchy worms.
- Iron Man can afford to be a little douchy but blowing up bad people with repulsors is awesome, not douchy.

...which isn't the character.

He should stop doing that.

I don't remember him being an *** with Aunt May

He came in late and forgot some eggs, but that's because he's out being Spidey

He raises his voice by asking her to 'please go to sleep' because he doesn't want her to worry about him and he can't tell her why he's coming in late or with bruises

ermmm... he had that argument with his Uncle Ben about his dad, but again, that was emotionally fueled due to a lot of supressed anger, but hardly ****** behaviour

he forgot to pick May up from work, that's about it but i'd hardly go so far as to call him a ****** for that, he just forgot, that's all, the lad was busy!

I like AG as Parker, much prefer him to Tobey Maguire. I know they are very different interpretations of the character, but I just ain't a fan of Tobey in the role, I liked Cider House Rules though...
