I'm still in awe that SO many people missed the URL in the trailer. I don't know how anyone could have seen it though. And it's funny because the same thing happened during the Super Bowl trailer, years back.

People missed the URL in the webs. Same thing happened here. I was even prepared and I missed it. Crazy to think that it went over looked 20 million + times. Took Jamie Foxx to point it out and give us a hint.

Well because everyone bases stuff on trailers. Anyone ever see 2012 or Day After Tomorrow? Emmerich is the king of awesome trailers, but his movies suck. He even made 10,000 BC look good... people are so funny.

The Green Goblin!!!

I'll never forget when I was in theaters for Spider-Man 2 and during the last few scenes, they unveil the 'hidden' Goblin layer, as discovered by Harry. And the guy behind me talking to his friend saying...'He going to be Venom, guys!!! That's Venom!!!' I was almost more in shock about his comments than the scene itself.

SHH is guessing that the 'Zero One Lounge' reference is related to the countdown. Am I missing something? Maybe because 'Zero One' is similar to the 1st as is 'January 1st'...even though the counter ends at 10 PM EST on December 31st....

I'm lost.

Hope that they ACTUALY do it. That, and that alone will redeem this film series for me.
It'll show respect for the source material, and a comitment to BETTER storytelling than we've come to expect so far from sonyman.

I get what you're saying and for the most part it would be a little ballsy for Sony to go through with it IMO.

But damn I'd miss Gwen.

Maybe Kirsten Dunst turned me off so much that Gwen looks even better in my eyes, but I always wanted Mary Jane to be the one killed in the Raimi Spider man films...especially in the third one with her "it's not about you it's about me" selfish insecure ***.

We did, I even remarked that I wouldn't be surprised if we don't see symbiote Spidey first, but instead, an Oscorp-created Venom.

Venom in ultimate was created by Richard Parker and Eddie Brock sr as a cancer suit but it was to dangerous. I rather them go that route then it came from john Jameson's ship. It's much easier.

Richard and Eddie definately made the Venom suit in this.

My guess is Spidey will use it to defeat the Sinister Six and/or after Gwen's death and then have to deal with getting it off and Venom.

With the exception of Magneto and Dr. Doom, not too many Marvel villains have great characterization. He could be great on screen and creepy as well if executed by some people who actually have some vision...

Spider-Man has always had such a colorful assortment of villains...and just like the three villains in this movie, what you got in the comics may not be what you get here. Venom can be just as good if not better than any villain in this film.
