Because it’s not being made by Marvel Studios. Every thread is filled with non stop hate unless it’s a Marvel movie.

Yea and some of those movies were decent at best. Thor bored me to tears and cap1 was ok. Im3 was a mess. I honestly think its because its not what they are use to and people hate change

I think Marvel only made one great movie in my opinion, and thats Iron Man 1. The Avengers was a good summer blockbuster but I wouldn’t call it a great movie. Fox, Sony and WB have all made quality movies. Some have been a bit underwhelming and some have been really good. I don’t know why everyone wants Marvel to make everything. I prefer a great movie be made, instead of Spiderman and Iron Man talking to each other being the only exciting thing to happen in a movie.

Not sure if anybody posted this already but it sure looks like the filmmakers were going for a certain look here...

Of course who knows, it's been the big rumor what will happen, but it's not like they didn't recreate that moment in the 1st Spider-Man movie with MJ and she was saved.

Actually I hope she does die. I no that sounds dark as hell but come on it will make for a great third movie. His anger and his fear consume him and he is in a deep state of depression and thats when Mary jane comes along. Also it would be Amazing if they brought the symbiote again to fuel his rage even further. SSM had symbiote spidey fight the sinister 6 so I can see this happening somewhere down the line.............. Or we can have peter parker hauled up in his room for eight years shooting arrows at aunt may and walking around with a cain and a hobo beard.

Celtic thought that. Annoyed the hell out of me. I respect and love those movies but for ****s sake they weren't the definitive spiderman movies. Not saying these are but atleast they are doing somthing new with this one. You can bash the first movie all you want but this movie looks great so far.

Raimi is a good director but his flaws in his movies are so noticeable this looks to be doing something different who knows well see.

You pointed them out as being dated and said ASM wasn't copying them. You also claimed they were bad because Maguire had his mask off a lot in that movie and ASM wouldn't be the case. All those counts wound up being wrong. There's an element, which you were/are part of, that needs to hate on the old to justify embracing the new. We saw it with Batman, we saw it with Spider-Man and to some extent, even though it's lame as **** given it's the same storyline, we're seeing it with the X-Men vs. the First Class movie.

I agree. I can see it happening. Now, it's just a matter of when and IF they pull it off right. I remember a interview the other day with Stone and she said didn't comment directly on if the death would happen, but she said (in so many words) all I can say is that Webb wanted to stick as close to the source material about that.

Yeah, I'm curious to see how they'll pull this off with him. I doubt we'll see him as the Goblin in this movie (pending some surprise reveal or something) but will he have what it takes to pull off the role and the action required for his character (fight scenes, etc.)? He doesn't remind me of an 'active' type. Total assumption on my part though. Should be interesting....

We all felt the same about Tobey, and though a different character, Keaton before him.
