It can be tough to separate an opinion you hate from the person who owns it, but it's kind of necessary in order to have a civilized disagreement. If you can have a good-natured laugh over your differences then you're doing it right. I've been guilty of this in the past myself. Fact of the matter is Nam and I hate to call you out on this because you can be pretty funny, but you start off on a personal note under the context of putting the trolls in their place. The only problem is that the true "trolls" create disagreement and misery for its own sake. I don't think any of us really fit that category, but actually care about these various properties.

Not a single aspect of this is good natured when you start throwing those classic perjoratives of yours, especially when it's entirely unprovoked outside of simply not sharing the same taste across many threads. I'm not asking you to change your core beliefs, but how about resisting the urge to engage in pointless dogfights? A good ribbing is fine, it's just that you go for the jugular every single time dude. :)

People getting defensive when some guy randomly pops in and calls a film they're interested in "garbage". I'm shocked.

Thats exactly why it's done. Just don't take the bait. Step over the **** on the ground and keep walking. Don't be tricked into stepping in it.

Garbage is Iron Man 3, ASM1 is just underwhelming. It could have been so much more. Iron Man 3 was literally one big joke. In my opinion of course, if you enjoyed it then I’m happy for you.

:goodpost: I agree Ams was underwhelming as the Raimi films were .

Here's the real story over the oscars segment

https://uk.eonline.com/news/518143/andrew-garfield-and-batkid-cut-from-academy-awards-what-happened-and-who-replaced-them

"Due to the nature of a live show, hard decisions sometimes must be made which require the Academy to cut segments due to the logistics of production," the spokesperson tells E! News in a statement.
"Andrew Garfield understood that his segment had to be omitted, and he drove to Disneyland on Monday to spend time with 5-year-old Miles Scott (Batkid) and his family."

To make it up to Batkid -- who was understandably bummed -- we're told Garfield accompanied him to Disneyland on Monday ... and even conducted a mini Oscars ceremony in Scott's hotel room (tuxes and all).

I don't understand the need to try to make Garfield or Peter Parker seem like a ********* in this movie, sure in the 1st one he was a douchy (douchy, not *********) hipsterlike teenager, but it seems that issue was fixed in this movie, from what I can tell, and as a person he seems alright :dunno.
