The guys in this thread persuaded me to let go of my resentment about the rebooted universe, so there's that. However that still leaves what I think was some poor pacing and not particularly well developed villains (as far as their character's and motivations). I mean the whole Harry thing, its just not very effective when it all has to go down in just one film (as opposed to the 3 of Raimi's films) I also don't think Electro was as conducive to a good a battle sequence as other villains have been in the past.
I agree this new rebooted franchise suffers from poor pacing it's webbs fault he cut out key scenes .

Surprised Harry doesn't say to electro not just a friend but a partner in my Chris O Donnel voice.:lol

On a side note, just realized that I have four copies of SM3 at my place. That's called dedication to a franchise. :lol

What matters most about what you think about this movie is

I don't know how I got so many. :lol I got the deluxe set when it was first released on DVD. Then, I bought the collectible set with the Venom figure from FYE. Then, I got the DVD Trilogy set soon after, and then the same Trilogy on Blu years later. :lol

Im glad that we dont have to wait to midnight to see these movies anymore, seems like with Cap I was able to catch an 8 pm show on the eve of the official release and tonight I go to a 7pm show.

The problem with this statement is that Spider-Man is not Batman. Never has been. So a Batman Begins like movie would not fit. Even in some of the darker Spidey stories in comics, there is still a humor and a lightness about the book. I am still excited to see this. It cannot be worse than SM3.

yeah that makes NO sense at all. the movie is set in new york, nothing has changed from the previews movie or the Raimi movies, so visually that's wrong. and I haven't heard anything about the bad guys being over the top or cheesy,

that's a troll review If I ever saw one

I definitely like that a lot more, as well. Midnight releases are cool, but not practical on a Thursday night/Friday morning.

Well i guess they owe us that. This movie has been out in other countries for weeks.

It's not worst then SM3 I enjoyed it.

If anything Spiderman 3 IS the Batman and Robin of the spidey films. And still that comparison doesn't make any sense at all.

It's certainly not worst then Spider-Man 3, but it could be worse than Spider-Man 3.

However I have yet to see the film so I couldn't say. :monkey3

Speaking of disappointing, the viral for ASM2 was every bit disappointing for me. Had none of the flare that the first one did. The Tumblr page was great, but that's about all it had going for it. It was supposed to be bigger and better, according to Webb a year + ago. This wasn't even close. I'm probably the only one who cared about it, but it meant something to ME, darn it. TO ME!!!! :lol
