Rhino is a part of the Sinister Six, yes.
His purpose at the end of the movie was to draw Spiderman out. He's been missing for 5 months. Harry still needs his blood. He forms this version of the six purely to kill Spiderman.
First step was see if a guy in a tank could get it done. Eventually all six will team up at the same time.
And I'm still almost positive Norman is playing Harry and using him to get the blood. That would explain why Harry got sick so quick. Norman intentionally makes him ill, now even though Norman is dead, there is still a rushed need to find a cure. It would make Norman a pretty good villain if he's using his own son like that and they clearly didn't get along well.
My guess is Sinister Six will end in them getting taken down by Spidey but not before getting his blood. Inject it into Norman's head, he regrows his body as the Hulked out version of the Ultimate Goblin for SM4.

Did I mention how much I enjoy Spiderman 1.
Parents scene should've been condensed as should've the german doctor and planes on collision course.
Some things should've just been removed.
Did we really need to see a passenger reading a news paper and being served peanuts during the climax of that movie.
That's the beauty of S2, no waste needs trimming.
I'm a strong proponent of cutting the parents' scene down. Way too long and with information that could've been condensed and still got the point across that Peter's parents were assassinated. Have the Parkers rushing out, cut to the airplane where Richard Parker "safely" uploads Roosevelt. Quick shot of the pilots, with one mysteriously dead and the other "cleaning up" in the seat next to him just as Mary Parker comes in. She gets shot. Quick fight right in the cockpit and then fade to black after we see the plane going down.
I didn't mind the goofy Dr. Kafka as he is sort of a twisted psychiatrist type and that's exactly what Ravencroft Institute is in the comics. Ravencroft is essentially the "Arkham Asylum" of the Spidey-verse and will VERY LIKELY have some focus in the Sinister Six movie. Actually, what's interesting is that in the comics, Dr. Kafka is a woman (with the same female leaning-unisex name "Ashley") and was actually converted into a male role for the film.

From the start... use the current suit, cut out the whole parent subplot, add in JJJ, build the villains just a tad bit better (don't steroid out the lizard, just keep him as doing everything Spider does a bit better and that's what he has to overcome) and I think this series would be off to a great start. As it is, I think asm2 did some righting of the ship, now if they don't just implode in 3.

I'm game!!! Lets throw Godzilla in there also.... So far this has been a great summer.... I love TWS and ASM2. Godzilla looks to continue the trend and XMen DOFP looks to entertain also. So much better then last summer.
Can I bring my kids?? Can't watch Godzilla without my boys
