I don't know where the whole "videogame" adjective came from... It's a pretty dumb thing to say, I've never played a game that looks or moves even remotely like any of the scenes in ASM2.

Also, I've played videogames that have a more solid, robust and more compelling stories than most movies.

Good point. Games like Red Dead Redemption or the Last of Us are more moving and human than the CGI action sequences in ASM2.

I like the video game where Tobey Maguire is standing on a dock as a giant Donkey Kong barrel rolls toward him and Mary Jane and he escapes in the nick of time. That was an epic way to end a superhero movie.

still the best super hero movie to date

Do I think SM2 is a better movie than ASM2?

Absolutely.

It just flows much better, no waste to be found.

Does Spiderman's movement in S2 beat ASM2?

Absolutely not.

Spiderman free falling and swinging in ASM2 is one of the most beautiful looking Superhero moments in any cbm.

Wasn't aware of much difference to be honest but that's only one viewing of ASM 2.

If I could only own one Spiderman movie?

Yikes!

ASM 2

Huh? This doesn't seem to jibe with your previous viewpoint of SM 2 as a better film. Why would you take an inferior film even with superior Spiderman movement or whatever, which in itself I would dispute after the train scene in Raimi's SM2. Agree with me Jye!

Cause of the dramatic air resistance on the costume when Spider-Man falls and the web swinging I reckon.

All I noticed was a ****ing cool sequence in Raimi's SM2 and, frankly nothing really comparable in Webb's ASM2 no matter how accurate Spiderman's individual movements may have been. That's not Raimi fanboyism, that's just how I saw it.

the ending of the hobbit felt exactly like a video game. not the very last part of the movie but the part in the cave with the goblins. They looked like video game characters.

That whole escape from the cave part felt like watching someone else play a game

The first minutes they talk about AMS2, it's a pretty interesting talk by pretty knowledgeable people.

I am 11 min it and they are nit picking some stupid stuff.... "Who was the assassin on the plane??" Really??? Apparently their knowledge ends at comics and they never have seen a James Bond movie.

They mess around for lols like everyone else, it's a podcast, but they make massive good points about everything else, the point they were making wasn't about the assassin himself, it was about shoehorning side plots willy nilly and ultimately leads people to not care about none of them.

And they're right, I liked the movie, it's light and fun enough for me to give it a 7 in my 1st watch, but I didn't really care about anything, only Gwen's death perhaps, but if I were to see it again, it would probably be a lower score.

what a freaking mess of a review. wtf.... who doesn't know Raimi did the first trilogy :lol:lol

I just cannot listen to this, everyone talking over each other is really annoying

Saw this yesterday.... Wasn't great but wasn't awful either. The action sequences were incredible. The story meh. Stone and Garfield were great together. Foxx wasn't given much to work with as electro was mediocre at best. Wasn't as good as ASM but was better than spider-man 3 by a lot. See it in IMAX 3D makes you feel like your on a roller coaster when spidey is slinging all over the city. 7/10
