The reboot is being made because Raimi and Sony didn't see eye to eye, and Sony was forcing ideas on Sam and were not letting him have 100% control like they promised. THAT is why this being rebooted.

THAT, is also the reason for the blunder of SM3.

Raimi did some great things with SM. Also IMO some really bad things. (same with Sony) I'm curious to see a different take on SM by someone different.

Garfield's Spider-man is based off of USM, which is lean and not overly muscular.

And i like the new costume......So far!

Eyes are too big and body is too skinny!

I've never seen a muscular spider.

And I've never seen a "spider-man"

I like the not-too-big eyed muscular-like-a-gymnist Spider-Man, like in the earlier comics!

After Thor and XFC this summer, I have hopes for all these films regardless of the early pics.

Also because if Sony doesn't make a movie every few years (don't know the exact number) the film rights will revert back to the parent company which is now Disney.

I blame the studio more than Raimi for the 3rd movie. The only thing I will miss in the upcoming movie is the bruce campbell cameo. He always delivered and actually was the best part of the 3rd flick.

sony is the one who calls the shots, thats exactly why raimi and mcguire left. because they didn't want another SM3.

he was the best part of all three movies imo.
