I gotta see more stuff before I judge but that epilogue sucked and the trailer was decent at best.

It's called a "prologue" and it was awesome. So was the trailer.

lots of criticism about the dude's hair and weight floating out there when he is absolutely perfect for the role.

What Peter Parker looks like Andrew Garfield? Moreso, what popular (since you said he's perfect) Spider-Man illustration, other than the Marvel Zombies Spider-Man, looks like him in the suit?

the great thing about comics is that one's own imagination brings them to life… i see Garfield as a good representation… a little bit Humberto Ramos, a little bit Chris Bachalo… the dude literally looks like a creepy, lanky arachnid. i see him being the teenage version of Mcfarlane's Peter Parker… but most importantly, i see him being the next chapter in the lore. all of my favorite artists have contributed to the character… they have added their own influence to him… now it is time for the filmmaker to do the same.
