Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

It is dumb. I get it's true to the comic. So I'm not even bashing the movie. I'm bashing that character trait of Spider-Man. Spinning a web is what a spider does.

Part of me wants this movie to be awesome because Spidey is my second favorite comic hero. But part of me wants it to flop as a huge eff you to the Sony execs for screwing up Spidey 3 and then pulling the rug out from under Raimi and Co to redo the origin story so soon. He made one horrible movie due to studio interferment. Who knows how the fourth and fifth would have fared...

I get the love for the organic webbing and I used to be all for it. I guess I started thinking too deep about how the organic webbing was a patch on his wrists, and how on earth its able to shoot webs through the costume.....:slap

BUT when I started thinking like that, i also think how on earth Spiderman is able to stick to walls with gloves and shoes on....:slap

Screw Logic. My #1 Superhero!!!

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

No. If that were the case, he should have become a mutant spider from day 1.

His arse's primary function is to defecate because biologically, he is a human being. The mutation from the spider bite wouldn't mutate that area. From a scientific perspective it would make sense that the spinnerets would come from Parker's wrists as hands are one of the most important features on a human being.

Or something like that.

I don't :)

Wouldn't his Webs shoot out his ass, like a Spider then?

Yes

Yeah cause defects and such never happen in the real world. Remember he's a comic book character and he's not real.

:wink1:

Whatever the case were getting webshooters :)yess:)

THE WAY IT SHOULD BE!

Your arse's primary function is to defecate, and yet you are talking out of it. :monkey1

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

I don't know why but I haven't been following anything about this movie at all. I'm not even really excited for it, not like I was for the first Raimi film. In fact I just saw the suit like a week ago...and I love it. I only read a miniscule part of this thread and it looks like the movie set up to be a stinker. Is this true?

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

I'll check out the trailer. I'm so behind on movies it's sad. I still have to watch Captain America and Thor. I go through phases where I watch movie after movie almost back to back then long period of nothing. I'm a big reader so that takes up the time I could be catching up on film. Only thing I've been watching is Game of Thrones and before that Walking Dead.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Yup. Don't believe the people who think it's going to suck... and don't believe the people who think it's going to be great. ;)

That sounds like a good start.

Yes, believe the people that think it's going to be slightly better than Raimi's SM1.....

Like me! :)
