Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

well he is fighting the lizard :lecture

actually, thats one thing I never liked about some superheroes, spiderman is flying around in the air, around buildings made of concrete, and he is going around in a freaking Leotard? like for real? youre flying around concrete buildings with just a leotard, Im just surprised he doesnt get hurt more often,

this suit might look weird, im not saying it doesnt, but is more realistic if someone was going to go out in the street to fight bad guys

He has super strength he doesnt need a suit to help reinforce his skin, it could only inhibit him, he moves far differantly then Batman who can barely raise his arms or turn his neck. Spiderman is acrobatic, a spandex type suit makes the most sense short of being nude. He gets thrown clean through buildings and doesn't get hurt, your talking like he may swing into a building by accident and hurt his knee or something? :lol

Glad to see this getting good reviews I'm sure it will rock.

Good point a guy who can't be shot from behind by a machine gun due to agility and heightened sixth sense sure shouldn't fear a skinned knee from a building.

well he gets pretty hurt every time he fought goblin or Doc Oc, he gets scratched all over and whanot, Being an acrobat makes sense that he needs a leotard, yeah, but he is also fighting all these monsters,

you said it yourself he gets thrown cleah through buildings and doesnt get hurt, his leotard doesnt even brake, like at all, whether he is strong or not that thing would break, in SP3 sandman kicks the crap out of him at first, yet his little cloth leotard is intact... yeah right..

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

So your basically saying Spiderman needs to abandon what he's looked like for the past 40 years to look more like Batman I guess? Its like one of the adults stepped out for a second and you wandered out of the Batman day care center thread. And yes his suit tears plenty but the Raimi films are ____e so who cares. Aunt May beat up Doc Ock while dangling from a building and Spiderman danced at a jazz club. :dunno

Guys I know he's Superman but sometimes he gets a bruise, maybe we should put him in armor?

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Lol^^^ it's his design, just leave it alone. Let Batman have the pads.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

And if you apply that logic to every superhero who get's scraped, they'd all look like armor wearing cosmonauts rather than classic heroes. From Hulk to Robin, everyone would be wearing bodyarmor....

no I dont mean the past 40 years m speaking about the live movies only, not the cartoons or the comic books,
iand i never said batman those are YOUR words,
im simply talking about the design of the suit In THIS MOVIE,
everyone was making fun of him for looking like a basketball, but I was just saying that this design actually is cool because is a little protection, it might look like a basketball but is more believable and a little better than the Raimi version of the suit,
in comics and cartoons it doesnt matter because they dont follow any logic,

i never said anything about batman or knee pads, thats all your crazy rambling :thwak

yeah but the suit Spidey has in this movie doesnt look as soft as in the first movies,
im talking about the movies here, and is funny you would mention robin because in the movie he had a suit made of rubber or something,
every superhero that has had a real life movie made of them they are wearing either some sort of rubber or leather,
X men-their suits are leather, Daredevil -leather, Blade has the trenchcoat, fantastic four had those suits,
when they make a live action movie of a hero they usually give them a suit with some protection, the one that looks like he is wearing cotton tights is spiderman in the first 3 films,
the only movies where they just wear cloth like that is Superman (which he is like a God) and Spiderman, so I kinda like that they went with the basketball suit in this one

(comics dont apply and hulk doesnt apply either)

I missed Iron Mans rubber and leather costume. :nana:

Fantastic Four people were wearing space suits that were spandex
YOU CANNOT be seriously counting Blade's coat as an example.....
Daredevil/X-men I would count to a point....For instance though the some of the X-men prove the point, Magneto, Mystique, Toad, Sabertooth, and a bunch of other people were wearing normal clothes in those movies. Hell Elektra wore a leather top and Bullseye was wearing a tank top....
And Superman obviously gets kryptonite used on him so why does he not wear a lead lined suit?

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

And it should apply to Hulk if anyone, he got stabbed in the chest and etc in his recent film.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Haha, I think Blackmask was just trying to illustrate what he likes about the new Spider suit and the topic took a left turn and is spiraling now. I get what hes saying, they do sometimes escalate the suits in movies and its not like Spidermans new suit is a flak vest with grenades strapped onto a bandolier or anything.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Point is it's the core superheroes design. You lose that, you lose pretty much the familiarity of the hero and big bucks are lost.

I'm okay with the new suit, a little busy for my taste, but it's not bad. The only real thing I dislike is the suit texture, seems very odd.

Bullseye had a trenchcoat too, Electra had leather pants too,
when they make a movie from a comic book they usually make their clothes, well clothes,
like you said Magneto had clothes, Toad and Sabertooth had coats too, they were not just wearing t-shirts and shorts, they had coats and stuff,
spiderman is the only only one that in real life looks like a ballet dancer, which is fine for the comics but thats something that bugged me in the movies, in this movie he still looks like that but the new texture adds more to the character, is a little better,

Even the black suit in SP3 was a little different, of course because of the alien goo, but it was different

Superman never counts because he has every super power in the world and no one ever makes kryptonite bullets so is redundant,

thank you, that's what I mean, when they do a live action movie they make their clothes more to the style of real clothes, either clothes we wear like pants and shirts, or stuff like rubber or leather, the costumes might look the same but is more appropriate, imagine wolverine looking like a yellow ballet dancer, he at least has jeans on, something that we use in real life,

But leather pants, and coats do not equal battle attire lol. Leather pants didn't help Electra get stabbed through her sternum....
And Superman got stabbed with Kryptonite in his last movie soooo........

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Are you saying Spider-man's costume should have a more clothes feel to it than being tights?

so youre saying they would have looked better if they looked like they were wearing leotards? cuz that's pretty much what youre saying, wolverine should have had yellow tights on, :dunno

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

no im just saying i like this suit more than the one from other movies, I know it looks busy because of the colors but if it was the original colors it would have been really cool,
or if Raimi did something like the black suit, which was kinda shiny a little bit, it looked a little tougher in texture ( I KNOW it was alien, Im just saying what the actor was wearing, looked a little tougher)
