Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Question. Is it worth seeing this movie in IMAX 3D? We don't have IMAX in Sweden only realD 3D (which sucks) and I'm going to London the 9th of July so I thought I would try IMAX for the first time.

From the perspective of having not seen it, I'd have to guess that this will be amazing in IMAX. :clap

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Yea let's stop with this trilogy nonsense. Let's do six!!!!!

My point exactly. Let Garfield grow old in the role. I'm tired of ____ing reboots. I'd rather deal with a slump film sandwiched between two good ones than have some ____ing stupid remake.

I think in the next movie they should introduce Norman Osborn but not make him the Green Goblin just yet.

And if the rumors of the whole "Spidey in 'The Avengers'" are true and Sony and Marvel Studios have reached a deal, they can start introducing elements of the Marvel Cinematic Universe into Amazing Spidey. Like in the Ultimate Universe how a lot of the tests Oscorp was doing were trying to reproduce the Super Soldier serum, this whole animal/man testing they are doing could be to develop a new derivative of that. Meaning that the Green Goblin of this can be an off-shoot of the Hulk (though you would almost be repeating the whole "Lizard" monster angle and it would be a repeat.

Feige's already gone on record as saying it's not happening. Marvel Studios would refuse it too. It's in their best interest not to help promote Columbia in hopes that Spidey fails and they sell the license back to Marvel.

Batman will be robooted with the next five years.

2 years. It's slated for 2014. :monkey1

The Vulture was supposed to be the main villain of the 4th movie and if I remember John Malkovich was rumored to be up for the role before Raimi dropped out and it all went to hell.

I thought Vulture was supposed to be in 3, with Sandman. Then the studio demanded Venom, rewrites happened and we got a disaster.

Also Raimi didn't drop out. He was let go along with Toby by the studio who wanted to do the reboot.

Cool, I just hope IMAX 3D isn't like the crap we have here in Stockholm. The image is blurry (looks like a VHS tape and I'm a blu-ray guy lol), the 3D effects barely noticeable, the image is dark and the glasses are annoying to wear. :lol

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Ok. Saw Avengers in 3D wasn't impressed at all. Was dark and didn't get into it. Is IMAX 3D any different? It's 16$ a ticket here want to know if it's worth it.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

It all depends on if it was filmed or not. Filmed, films tend to brighten up the final print.

But IMAX 3D is usually great.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Well, the haterz haven't got a leg to stand on anymore. This movie had the ultimate potential to suck, and was doomed by haters from the beginning. But IT DOESN'T!!!

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

I would run around my block butt ass nekkid 10 times if spiderman beats tdkr in performance and quality. I don't see that happening but it would shut those Nolan fans up.

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

movie starts in 8 hrs here in OZ....im going to the 3pm session tomorrow...WOOT WOOT

Re: The Amazing Spider-Man

Still don't know about IMAX or not.

What's the worst case scenario? A film you really enjoyed gets some extra $$$ to boost the box office and you leave with a learning experience. Best case scenario, you have a blast. :huh Just make sure it's a true IMAX theatre and not a LIEMAX.

Maybe not this time since its an origin vs. trilogy ender battle, but definitely in 2014.

Either way, Spider-Man and Batman in the same year AND the same month? Fans should be excited for this since its Marvel and DCs top icons back on the big screen.
