Not really. Spider-Man 3 sucked. But that was one movie out of two. It took Fantastic Crap two awful flicks before it got rebooted.

The franchise was still strong. Spider-Man 3 made bank. And could've redeemed itself.

Spider Man ended after 2 because 3 was so poor. Rebooting was the best way to go.

I agree needed a restart xmen 3 failed ...then they rebooted it different actors different approach it will happen to all franchises that are this successful.

I thought Raimi's Spider-Man 2 was one of the best comic book movies out there. Still do. Great action. Doc Ock. No emo Peter Parker. Minimal MJ.

I agree, love that movie. It had it all: great villian, great humor, fun action moments............and MJ was ok too

I didn't mind her character being a _____ before she knew about Spider-Man...because...well, she didn't know.

Spider-Man 3 was just painful. She was such a horrible selfish person. She deserved that smack to the face.

The studio obviously knew that 3 sucked and wanted to start again and hopefully give the world a better Spider Man movie.

Batman's story is over in a few weeks. It's done. And that's it.

If Spider-Man ended. Parker retired, or whatever, and they said "This is the end"....then ok. Reboot it. But since Spider-Man 4 was a go, with the Lizard, and everyone was on board, and then suddenly it was canceled, and quickly rebooted just seemed wrong to me.

It seems more wrong to me now after that 25 minute clip.

But like I said, I don't mind being proven wrong if I get a good movie out of it.

I thought SM4 was supposed to have a vultress woman villain?

Besides a superhero run of films has never directly (same cast/story) lasted beyond 3 films, so it shouldn't come as a surpirse they rebooted it.

IT'S THE STUDIO'S FAULT THAT 3 SUCKED IN THE FIRST PLACE. So are you telling me they decided to reboot it by shooting themselves in the face? Because that's what they did. Avi Arad ruined Spider-Man 3. Not Sam Raimi. He did however add a bunch of crap to spite them. But whatever.

The Vulture was supposed to be the main villain of the 4th movie and if I remember John Malkovich was rumored to be up for the role before Raimi dropped out and it all went to hell.

Question. Is it worth seeing this movie in IMAX 3D? We don't have IMAX in Sweden only realD 3D (which sucks) and I'm going to London the 9th of July so I thought I would try IMAX for the first time.
