What this film did well was show that in these early stages it was still a teenager under the mask coming to terms with who he is and how he is always learning about how to become a better Spider Man (adult). I'm sure the opening of the second film will show a more mature Spider Man who will be a pro at swinging (non crane assisted).:wink1:

I think watching the maturation process of Parker/Spider-Man with his newly-found powers unfold will be a big part of this franchise's success. It's already off to a great start.

:exactly:I'm only expecting Spider-Man's story arc to come full circle by the end of the third film. Anything that happens inbetween is a massive learning curve.

Chameleon worked for Norman didn't he? and Toomes.

He and Norman were responsible for creating the Life Model Decoys of Peter's parents, so I could definitely see this happening. Given that the scene focused on the mystery behind the disappearance of his parents, the Chameleon is possibility at this point.

I was watching an interview the other day with Webb concerning this end-credits scene, and he was nothing but 'tight lipped.' I'm glad to hear that the list is narrowing down now. It's still long, but nonetheless, eliminating Normal as a possibility is kind of a big thing, IMO.

He said it's someone in the employ of Norman though.

"Involved with OSCORP" Who MIGHT" Be the next Villain. I know Michael Morbius was doing stuff at OSCORP.

Also he's in the ASM game, and i guess they could only use potential Villains for the sequel in the game. If you ask me they just left it open for whoever they decide later.

Since it's not Norman, I'm gonna go with Mysterio or Morbius

/who knows!

Yeah, the list is still too long. :lol I think Mysterio has potential. I'd probably be happy with whoever, but I do look forward to Norman/GG making an appearance down the road, whenever they see fit.

"Micheal Morbius was mentioned several times in the The Amazing Spiderman game which is considered Cannon with the Spiderman universe.

Michael Morbius appears in The Amazing Spider-Man video game (based on The Amazing Spider-Man).[38] He is biochemist who is forced by corrupt Oscorp executive Alistair Smythe into creating Rhino. In a discussion between Spider-Man and Dr. Curt Connors, it was mentioned that Michael Morbius was studying bats as a means to cure his rare blood disease. He is mocked by his fellow employees for being reclusive, hence his nickname "Morbius, the Living Vampire".

:goodpost:

I loved that he is still learning to be Spider-Man in the first, would be great if throughout the course of the trilogy he becomes more efficient and takes less damage.

He and Norman were responsible for creating the Life Model Decoys of Peter's parents, so I could definitely see this happening. Given that the scene focused on the mystery behind the disappearance of his parents, the Chameleon is possibility at this point.

That would be such a mind-____ for Peter to see his Dad, only for it to be chameleon.

__________

I read that although Norman wasn't "in" ASM, he's a huge part of the function of Spider-Mans life, from his parents to his spider-powers to his girlfriend, Oscorp is a central thing for Spider-Man, so with the next villain pssobily working for Oscorp it really can be anyone, a scientis corrupted by his own work (Octavious, Goblin, Smythe, Morbious, Vulture) or a genetic test subjecct (Scorpion, Rhino, Venom, Sandman). The doors are open for almost any possibility.

I'd like to see a villain not done before like Mysterio, Rhino or Hobgoblin, i'd also like to see Rhys Ifans back as Connors, not Lizard as it'll show what happens in comics, characters don't appear once and disappear afterwords.

Just because the character works for Osborn in the movie doesn't mean he worked for him in the comics. Could be someone like the Spot who ported in and out of the cell. Movies tend to skew the actual characters a bit. :dunno

Personally, I think the studio intentionally left the credit scene open to interpretation because they don't yet know what characters are in the next movie.

"Give the fans something to speculate on until because they like credit scenes....".

People dig the mid credit scenes these days. It'd be a crime not to have them.:lol
