I reeeeeeeeally like boys. :drool

:dunno:dunno:dunno

I don't really get why you'd even go see this? Weren't you the one last month claiming that the studio is trying to attract people like you that don't want to see another origin movie? Why didn't you skip it? Buying a ticket for something you claim you don't want to see, then being SURPRISED it didn't fulfill your expectations... :cuckoo:

So you're angry that his points were valid? :cuckoo: :lol

I understand that, but why did he need neatly aligned cranes to swing there? I feel like he should have been able to swing along the buildings and given terrain without using his injured leg on his own. I felt they compromised his capability to write in the "comradere scene." Just my 2 cents :)

Because he was new to swinging and certainly to doing anything fancy with it, and severely injured, even after the cranes were aligned he missed his first shot and fell. If you get shot, I don't care what part of your body it is, your going to be discombobulated. Not to mention he got hit with that taser right before getting shot so his ribs were injured as well.

I'm missing my post where I said I was mad at him for going to the theatre? Did I call him names or something? Not seeing that either, did I argue with his answer? :dunno

I'm missing the post where I said "hey dude, they didn't cut anything out". :dunno

Pretty simple statement, he didn't deny what he'd said before he answered honeslty that he thought he'd just give it a try against his pre meditated thoughts. No reason to read all sorts of BS into it.

Crap post even for you.

We know the bottom line was just to get that reaction tho. The set up, the pitch, home run. Que the music, que C thomas Howell rallying his budddies to help Spidey. Then Spidey overcomes!!! Corny? probably to some, but I thought it was awesome, but yeah, i think everyone knew something like that was coming after the shot to the leg. :clap

That scene was fine. The music sucked something awful. I think if it had a better score, I would've enjoyed the flick way more.

Yeah, this was my conclusion as well after thinking on it more. The scene bugs me less the more I think about it, but it did irk me initially.

Just returned from Spidey.

Let me start by saying that I love Spiderman 1 and 2.

The Spiderman action in this makes it look like Spiderman is standing still in Spiderman 1 and 2.

My hope for the next movie is that whoever the villain is, the story is the major focus. I think they're more interested in containing and personalizing this series as opposed to Raimi's version, which was more sprawling and epic, and that's fine. But the story has to be the main priority over huge set pieces. I hope Garfield and Stone's relationship lasts through filming because it enhances their on screen chemistry since it's real. And if they lead it all up to Gwen's death, hopefully at the hands of Norman, I feel that movie could have the most potential at being "amazing" and emotional, although I'm not sure if you want to end a trilogy on such a downer.

:lol Awesome review Jye!

Dr. Connors clearly says that the spiders were created by Richard Parker before he left as a sign of the experiments working but that he disappeared and was killed shortly after. The spiders though were created of tested and retested work whereas Connor's formula was rushed through the steps and not refined therefore had the weaknesses.

Richard's algorithm was just the key to making it work not the finality of his work, the spiders were taken from beginning to end by Parker, Peter just provided the algorithm for Connor to work but had no concrete evidence that it would work as we saw with the mouse montage. Theoretically there was stuff within Richard Parker's work that they wanted beyond just one formula and Connors made it seem with his attitude that Parker leaving was more of a crushing blow than just "he took the formula and left".

Back to the whole film for a second, I loved it, all it, the casting was perfect, Sally Field and Martin Sheen were great, Emma Stone was great as Gwen and Andrew Garfield made me forget any actor who was Spider-Man before him.

I can't wait for the sequel and hope they go much further than three.

That's what I was wanting know, but couldn't recall. It makes sense then. It's all that's left behind by your brightest mind. You salvage what you have, especially if you're eager to complete things given the situation Norman is in.

As for the algorithm, it's what Ratha and Connors were trying to develop on their own for 12+ years, so I agree that it was the key. But it meant much more because the success of the project hinged on it. Parker knew it, which is why he hid the formula and the batch file sequencing. Even if the formula wasn't perfected, he knew if anyone could achieve success, it was by these means. Had Ratha not pushed Parker the way he did in their correspondences, none of this probably would have happened. And Parker would still be alive. Connors though is now the 'last man standing,' but is certainly no angel. He knows the pressures Parker was subject to, which is why his ill feelings are a mixture of anger, guilt, and everything in-between. Part of it is knowing Parker 'walked' from the project, but the other is knowing that Parker never truly walked away.

I'm really excited for what might become of this whole 'untold' story. There's so much potential for this to become an underlying theme for the rest of this trilogy. Overall, I'm really impressed with what this film has set up for the viewers. So. Much. Awesomeness.

I thought it was lame that Spiderman needed their help getting from point A to point B in the middle of NYC...no place in NYC is off limits to SM, that's kind of his thing. I got over it a bit though, attributing it to the fact that he was still learning how to be a pro-status web-swinger. :lecture

What this film did well was show that in these early stages it was still a teenager under the mask coming to terms with who he is and how he is always learning about how to become a better Spider Man (adult). I'm sure the opening of the second film will show a more mature Spider Man who will be a pro at swinging (non crane assisted).:wink1:
