Yo guys, I just saw it. What a phenomenal movie! It was not without its flaws, but damn, way better than I thought it would be! Looking forward to the trilogy and beyond! I can't even lie to you dudes, I shed half tear during a couple of parts. Lots of emotion on that flick, good stuff! The girlfriend really liked it too... right after the movie finished she said "Wow, that was really good!" and 2 hours earlier she was complaining about how she did not like Spiderman and how she did not want to see the movie (yeah, almost broke up with her right there and then ).

My wife used to do the same ____ before seeing X-Men. Since then, she's been hooked.

Thankfully, my wife loves the comic movies. On the way home from the theater, she always has like 200 questions about minor details, and differences between the comics.

Which is fine by me... it's a rare moment where I am actually knowledgeable.

Why? This movie is perfect for girls. It's almost half of a chick flick anyway. The romance angle plays a huge part, if not the biggest in the film.

that's what i get from female friends who saw the movie, they were more "touched" about the love aspect. to the extent they(some of them) were in tears when peter was a no show at the funeral.

...then i had to rub it in and spoil them by telling them.

gwen stacy dies, she WILL die.

if they dropped the spiderman bit, this will easiy translate to "chick flick", IMO.

MJ was fine in the first, but she got _____y real quick. But, I could understand. Peter was playing with her, because he had too. But once she knew he was Spidey.....well, she had zero room to complain about their relationship.
