The Amazing Spider-Man - OPEN SPOILERS NOW

Watched this movie this past weekend. I am not a comic guy, so I would not know how faithful this storyline is too the comics. My understanding of Spider-man comes from the movies only. Again I don’t know the comics but what I did not like about this movie was how one guy “Peter Parker/Spider-man” is the sole cause of everything. If Peter did not go into that room and get bit, his uncle would be alive, his aunt would not be a widower, there would be no Lizard Man and Gwen’s dad would have not died, NYC would not be threaten. I also did not like how everything was so convenient. Peter liked Gwen, Peter father worked with Lizard man, Gwen volunteered at the lab with Lizard man, The chief of police was Gwen's dad.

Also the scene with SM and the car thief reminded me of TMNT movies of the 90’s. SM body actions and speech was a turtle.

Did however love Emma Stone!!!!


Verdict: Spiderman 2 still rocks!!!

No he didn't. And he also didn't have them in the comic, when wearing the symbiote suit he picked up during The Secret Wars.

That is actually a theme of the comics, how Peter being Spider-Man causes pain to his loved ones. There was even a special where he was shown what it would be like if he didn't become spider-man, Gwen, uncle ben and others were all alive, Osborn was a normal guy and so on.

As for the coincidences, they are present in lots of films to keep the story flowing.

When you're talking about a comic book character. YOU'RE ALWAYS talking about the comics.(when that's what the movie is primarily based off of) That's just the way it's going to end up. (nerds) Especially when you state something as sensitive as webshooters.

He still has the organic Web shooters, but he stopped using them since "Brand New Day". I remember him coaching people about using the organic web shooters during the "Spider-Island" event.
