Yup, love it or hate it, it gets bought as I support all comic book movies. Something I stated at the very beginning of this thread.

well I thought his jive talkin to the car thief was really stupid. Like really stupid.

You guys say that it came from the comics. You're wrong. It came from Tobey being geeky and the filmmakers wanting it to be different so they looked at the source material and got it from there. But that's not how spider-man was...he doesn't go "yo yo yo I just did your job for you yo! Now how you gonna act?? Fur realz?" No he's just a smartass. The reason it was an extreme was only because of how geeky Tobey was, and you know what, if Tobey had never existed they would've made this movie just like Tobey again. Why? Because he was a better character. And I don't think Garfield would have even got the role if he was playing the way he was.

It was an effort to be different, but it was really a lazy choice because it was basically already done for them and they didn't put any thought into it. He's almost like a generic jive talkin dude. Like if it wasn't in the script, the movie could have just moved along and no one would have said a work. Except then he'd be nothing because they can't go geeky. Thus, you have the jive talkin' ghetto spider-man. I think they probably told him to ad-lib it. "Just be cocky."

This is why reboots are delicate. If there was no cesar romero, Jack Nicholson would have played it like him. If no JN, heath ledger would have played it like him. In this example you can't really say who was "better" when you think of like that. In spider-man's case, this version didn't really made the character better. You can say it's more true to the comics but he's just not a good character in this movie.

And also the fight scenes in the movie don't even compare. Even spider-man vs the amazing spider-man alone. Just doesn't compare and if you don't see that, well I think you have bad taste. Sorry for the long post.

Never released. The film was shot and intentionally canned solely for Fox to keep the rights. And after seeing it on YouTube, it was a good call.

No, Mr. Apologist. Because he was being influenced by the symbiote which caused him to be a *********. No symbiote in ASM = Peter is a ********* naturally. The fact that you and Nova keep using that as a comparison shows you actually know **** about the films.

So how is the web-slinging action in ASM? I haven't seen the move but am considering buying the blu-ray sight unseen. The action in the trailers really does look quite cool. Is that alone worth a blind buy?

The action scenes are just about the only things that are good. Story's largely a play-by-play copy of Raimis but with a ********* Peter Parker instead of the nerdy genius Parker from Raimi's films.

I disliked the movie also.. I liked the older ones much better.... the new spiderman is way to coky and arrogant.. and the peter parker is also not really fitting... Toby was more like a little naive simple guy I just found hilarious !
