I'm interested to see if these Jamie Foxx rumors pan themselves out and how Oscorp ties into all of this. They've already pretty much set up the last film but I'm interested to see if they can make an effective bridge to actually get there.

So how is the web-slinging action in ASM? I haven't seen the move but am considering buying the blu-ray sight unseen. The action in the trailers really does look quite cool. Is that alone worth a blind buy?

You're either going to hear 'it was great' or 'it was horrible.' The opinions are pretty divided. I'm with the former.

To address your question, the web-slinging scenes in TASM by far out-perform those from the previous trilogy. Garfield's Spider-Man moves THAT much better. It looks like something out of a comic. Maguire's Spidey was great, but if you see this new installment, I'm sure you'll agree.

If you're looking for a COMPLETELY new story from TASM, you won't get it. Why? They took time to re-tell the origin story. Albeit, with a twist, but nonetheless. Is it a big deal? No. And personally, I thought it was a smart move. Other than that, everything else is new. New cast and crew. New design and outlook. New love interest (which is a biggie for me.) New villain.

Is it worth a blind buy? Yeah, it's worth it. Garfield and Stone deliver. And when you read what may be in-store for the next film, this series has all of the potential to eclipse what has already been.

Never released. The film was shot and intentionally canned solely for Fox to keep the rights. And after seeing it on YouTube, it was a good call.

The action scenes are just about the only things that are good. Story's largely a play-by-play copy of Raimis but with a ********* Peter Parker instead of the nerdy genius Parker from Raimi's films.

Where is this shown in the Raimi films Nam? The web comes out of his body (and boy what a poo storm that caused at the time, despite being one of the carry overs from James Cameron's screen treatment) and he was already a photog?
