Re: Hot Toys - MMS143 - Spider-Man 3 official specs and pics

I love this part of the suit (not too much the rest):

I like web lines to be carved through the suit and not with relief as in Sam Raimi's films.

Also I like the colour. I believe it's too shiny but maybe that's because he has been fighting under the rain and it's wet or something...

Re: Hot Toys - MMS143 - Spider-Man 3 official specs and pics

You prolly like that part because it's the only part that looks like the classic spider-man suit. . .

I'm okay with this.

I'll take the one on the left

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

I really liked Tobey as Spider-man, and I would be very surprised if Spider-man 2 ever gets topped, but I really like Garfield's sleeker look. The suit is really jacked up in that pic, parts are ripped off, the blacks have run into the reds and blues, it's very hard to tell what it looks like brand new, but my guess is the blues and reds would be much brighter, and it would be much less of a drastic change as many people are suggesting.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

I dunno, minus the obvious webbing issue the design isn't horrible but the suit material looks off (especially the red). The red doesn't appear to be cloth (neck and shoulder material appears stiff giving it an armor(ish) appearance). Which if true makes me wonder about the mask. Like everyone else, I cannot wait to see the full costume.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

I was quite shocked at what the costume turned into when I saw it yesterday night. At first I noticed the curves on the shoulder, then the stupidly long spider legs for the emblem on the chest (does it really need to be that long), then the glove/arm area where the red parts stretch and point out. After all of that I noticed how dark the suit was and thought of The Dark Knight because ever since that film has come out people tend to think if we made the film dark then its going to satisfy people. Then I noticed how freaking latex the material was...there was no spandex....I dunno...the feeling of Spiderman is kinda gone. Spiderman is more like Superman to me, he symbolises hope, being a hero, friendly (like peter says, friendly neighbourhood spiderman)....this looks to me like a more serious, dark more troubled Peter Parker.....finally I don't know why but I then thought this film is going to have a Kickass vibe to it.

P.S. I just noticed the bloody webbing cannot be clearly seen...WTF !!!!

Also could anyone show me the "Ultimate" costume...I google searched but it only came up with the video game.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

he looks skinny like the Ultimate universe Character.I like it.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

yup. looking good so far.
new actor looks much more like Peter Parker.... :monkey1

Re: Hot Toys - MMS143 - Spider-Man 3 official specs and pics

Everyone, hold your horses, maybe this is not the final suit in the movie? If this is a reboot, there must be a scene where he made a homemade suit for the wrestling match and maybe this is the homemade suit? That might explain the bag he is carrying on his shoulder. Maybe this is the scene after he confronted Ben's killer.

Could be.
But judging from the claw marks, it could be a sewer scene with the lizard

I don't think it's done. Might not see the clean/official one one till the teaser.

Bright pic (totally see the front belt is missing)

I know I keep saying this, but I still don't think some people can see it.
There is Webbing you can see how much darker it is on the gloves in that picture, and the suit is Not dark as the Black Webbing seems to have liquefied and smeared all over the costume. The same thing has happened to the Spider emblem, The spider's legs don't go down that far, whatever it's made of has liquefied and ran down the stomach area of suit

You can see the webbing on a 1455x2000 sized image thats taken into photoshop and brightened up. In the movie, (providing its going to be shot in a dark sort of way), your hardly going to see the webbing. Compared to the previous movie suit it was silver/white so it was obvious...and yeah that belt part is totally gone but you can see faint black lines that outline the shape of the belt. Also the spider emblem legs don't look like they liquefied, its clean straight line, its part of the design. Its still early I guess to make judgements but this is going to be a love it or hate it film...

P.S So does the "Ultimate" just mean he looks more thinner and athletic ?

The webbing has been jet black for a lot Spider-man incarnations, and if the red and blue is smeared in some sort of black substance like in this picture, of course it's going to be hard to see the webbing.

Your honestly telling me you can't see the Red and blue covered in black stuff?
It looks like some sort of acid damage to me

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

:lol ..and i was surprised that peter could make the costume form the first 3 movies by himself ..how on earth could some teen just make a suit like that?, unless he got super tailoring skills along with the spider stuff.

..but i do like this suit!:)

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

The suit actually doesn't look too bad to me. Now, I'm sure I'll still prefer the original Raimi suits, but this one isn't bad at all. I can see the missing belt as well. It appears that it will have a rounded oval shaped buckle just like in some of the comics.

The way things are looking so far,

Raimi Spider-Man represents the Romita late 60s, 70s Spider-Man (the comic look I've always preferred) and this is modern, Ultimate Spider-Man.

This movie could be alright.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

In that one image, Garfield looks more like Spidey than Tobey ever did.
I don't think so. They are just different incarnations of Spidey from the comics. Maguire was a good modern version of the Ditko-era Spidey to me. I honestly can't take much away from the new picture yet, but I can imagine he looks more like Ultimate Spidey since he's lankier and. . .has a weirder outfit I guess?
