Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

I thought it was funny how in 3 he was less emo when he dressed like one. :lol

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

The more I see the new suit, the less I'm liking it...

It feels like a kid who dressed up as Spider-Man for a party, but got laughed at by all his friends because his costume didn't look like Spider-Man's does so he started to walk home. During the walk a couple of punks beat him up for dressing silly, so that explains the scratches in the face and the battle damage look of the suit. It also explains why he looks sadly at the ground.

:D

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

Or when he gave up completely and threw his costume in the garabge.

I'm pretty sure that happens in the comics, bro, and like you, I'm not even familiar with comics that well.

The problem isn't that he cryed, its that he cryed 3-4 times in that movie alone. That was just SM3, he crys in 1 and 2 as well.

Yeah, he cries in Spider-Man, but for good reason. His Uncle dies on that dirty sidewalk after he trash talked him. That's a great scene though because you watch that sadness turn to powerful rage. Then he goes after the killer. He might get teary eyed at the end, but I don't think he sobs like a _____. It's at the funeral or something, I can't remember.

Spider-Man 2, I don't think he cries at all (I might be wrong, but nothing really stands out) and that's the most depressing Spider-Man of the three. Spidey/Parker's world literally ____ in that one.

Now you're right, Spider-Man 3 is some bad ____ but that shouldn't effect the other two, which I've said again and again. There is one crying scene that I think is appropriate, that I totally bought and that was when Harry Osborn died. The others in the movie? Yeah he does seem like a little _____.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

so I don't know why people are calling the new Spiderman costume the "Ultimate" Spiderman ???

Not calling the costume ultimate really.(saying he's skinny is more ultimate) It's the movie that's based off of that. (to a degree) The costume seems modern and that's why you get ultimate out of that i suppose. The movie is based off Ultimate Spider-Man, again to a degree (that why Bendis was consulted, plus they needed a change) Basically anything modern/hip = ultimate. And Ultimate was a great comic series so hope they do it well. (I've had 24 hrs now to soak in the battle damaged/not finished costume and i love it. (if i have a problem it's the gloves, but no biggie)

To me, even without knowing much about the reboot, I immediately think Ultimate because of the physique. After having a day to digest, unless newer pictures change things, I am really liking the look. I liked Ultimate's scrawnier look, since it's more of his powers giving him his strength, rather than visible muscle.

I also really, really liked USM.

I also like that he'll have web shooters in the movie. Peter creating his own web shooters always seemed important, because it highlighted his intelligence and scientific abilities... something the organic shooters couldn't do.
