Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

He has one that he wears under the suit (in the comics, don't know about the movie). If they bring it to the outside, I think it would be distracting and wouldn't fit his acrobatic/lanky appearance.

It would still be distracting under the suit as then the suit would be lumpy looking around the waist being stretched over an utility belt. It also makes more sense to have it on the outside of the suit to have quick/easy access to web fluid cartridges instead of having to untuck his suit (which would be tough since it looks like a one piece suit) to refill the web shooters if that is the direction they are heading. They can make the belt look a little more seamless and less noticeable like in the photoshopped picture than the way the old 70's TV show handled it. :lol

The one issue I have with the new suit picture is that if he does have web-shooters why don't the wrists look thicker due to the web-shooters being under the form fitting suit other than the exposed spinnerets.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

I googled "Spider-Man belt" and he wore them for that exact reason in the comics.

The difference was it was under his costume not over it, like this new film suit appears to be.

I think I remember seeing the belt along with a diagram in some Ultimate Guide to Spider-Man book. I guess he had a "spider-signal" too? :dunno

Yep, on the belt buckle he had a spider-signal" light.

And who could forget that he also had the Spider-Mobile! :rotfl

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

Did you see that? The spider signal! With Spider-Man nearby, trouble can't be far away. And you know what trouble means... headlines, national coverage! So don't screw this up! I mean, uh... good luck.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

I'd be okay with a belt only if it is subtle and blends with the rest of the costume, which means it can't be too raised from the rest of the outfit and can't have a stupid buckle with a Spider emblem on it.

Dude has a giant Spider on his chest, another on his belt is incredibly redundant.

Shame nobody said that to Singer

The belt looks like it was stitched on to the rest of the suit and has been ripped off, so I doubt the belt looks the picture

:exactly:

One thing I do appreciate about that shopped pic above is that the dumb belt fills in for the (supposed?) strip of red fabric that's been ripped off. The added red color there really completes the outfit.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS143 - Spider-Man 3 official specs and pics

I'm guessing in the movie he gets the materials from a sport supply store. Probably some kind of underarmor type material.

Re: Hot Toys - MMS143 - Spider-Man 3 official specs and pics

I kinda like the new suit.

Looks different enough to warrant another purchase, plus garfield's proportions resembles comic spidey more, compared to tobey. He looks a bit too short and a bit on the plump side.

Glad I'm not the only one who thinks the new guy looks more like Spidey.

And the new suit is growing on me.

I noticed there's metal device under his arm. Is this spiderman reboot use web from that device and not from his body like tobey?
