I don't see why they need to redo the origin story when everybody knows it and it was already done once. If they waste half the movie with Parker getting powers, becoming a wrestler, learning how to use his powers, and Uncle Ben dying I'm gonna be so annoyed.

I agree that we don't need another origin story, but its the first movie in the series so it is for sure going to be there. If the studios only cared about giving us a neccessary story, then this reboot wouldnt be happening in the first place.

I believe the joke was that the "grow" came from a parallel to the symbiote style in Spider-Man 3 which gave Peter Parker that unmistakable hipster emo style.

Unless you knew that then I explained the joke for no reason

I don't care what anyone says Peter dancing in the club with his awesomeness, and the "now dig on this" grooving. Plus the sidewalk strut with James brown music rolling was the best part of SM3. If you understand Peter Parker that ____ was funny. (IMO)
