Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

This was on MTV's website today.

Over the last few months, we've seen plenty of photos and video from set of Sony's "Spider-Man" reboot, including some footage of Spider-Man swinging through traffic, and a nice look at Spider-Man's new costume in motion. Today, we have another pair of photos for you, and you're going to want to take a very close look at both of them.

Taken on the Los Angeles set of the film, the two photos depict a stunt sequence in which Spider-Man vaults over a car to tackle, flip, and subdue a character in a black jacket (as only a spider can).

But here's the kicker: Take a close look at the car behind Spider-Man and the black-jacketed combatant. Don't see anything? How about in the back seat of the car?

Here's how the photographer who took these photos described the scene being filmed:

"The Spider Man Reboot films a scene involving a car burglar and two Spider-Man's which both appear on camera. In the scene, Andrew Garfield in character as Spider-Man is hiding in the back seat of a car that a car burglar attempts to steal. The spooked thief exits the car to escape but is taken down by a second Spider-Man as Spider-Man number one (Garfield) watches the action through the backseat window. Both Spider man's were also seen rehearsing a stunt together while covered in trench coats."

Two Spider-Men? Well, that certainly gets the ol' Spidey Sense tingling...

Honestly, I'm at a bit of a loss when it comes to speculating on what this could mean for the film's plot. Of course, this isn't an official synopsis of the scene, so there's a very good chance that the multiple-Spidey scenario described above isn't actually part of the film.

But what if it is?

Let the speculation ensue, True Believers!

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

That suit makes me think I'm in the 'real-life "superheroes"' thread. I think it looks pretty awful. I also find the mechanical webshooters less plausible than the organic ones from Raimis films.

So there you go. My new and original post that touches on things I'm sure haven't been discussed at all in the preceding 166 pages!

Spiderman, Spiderman,
Does whatever a spider can
Spins a web, any size,
Catches thieves with his thighs

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

How can you use security when you are out in the public and a photographer has a high power zoom lense? It would be different if they were in an indoor close set and have a bunch of leak photos.

Also, you could see Andrew's suit is more defined than the stunt suit.

Re: Spider-Man: The Reboot!

Those pictures are hilarious.

So what's everyone's theory on the two Spider-Mans (men?)?
