The stunt double was the first thing I thought of, but then it seemed weird that the stunt double didn't keep his head down, and it's a movie that can be edited, not a stage show, so why would they need the stunt double to hide like that? We see the actor and stunt double cut together into the same scene all the time.

All things considered I'm sure there's nothing to it.

Spidey 2 is obviously THE perfect live action Spidey suit, to me, but as far as a USM outift could go, I love the look of this. Guess I am in the minority.

His crotch is darker than the rest of the suit because he's wearing a stunt codpiece underneath to protect his junk (for that particular scene they're shooting, no doubt).

Marc Webb still have a long way to go in terms of eye for good visual.
Say what you want about his version of Spidey but you can't deny that Raimi has the eye for amazing visual design.
