The anticipation of Maul

Yeah, I only pray this one comes out good. I don't doubt it will, still I can't help but worry a little bit, this is the one I looked forward to the most, since Luke, so I am very anxious.

The only concern I might have over the paint is if it's off center. My Han's hair was off center and I've seen a lot of pics of other figures like that too. Tho I haven't seen eyes, noses, lips etc off center so since the majority of Maul's aps will be on the face I'm not really worried about it.

I do have a feeling we'll end up waiting a long time on this one tho. It just seems like we've had so many right in a row we're due for a wait.

Sadly I had to cancel my Maul in order to afford Jabba... maybe I will try to get him later on since he does look cool as heck.

Don't worry, you won't have any problems... They made TONS of him!!! Even the "Inclusive" edition.

I wouldn't be too concerned J1, as long as the eyes pop. The paint apps are pretty simple really (no flesh tones, hair, lips to deal with) and the arms were corrected for length, the sculpt is great, outfit "futzable" etc.

I think the SDCC Maul is pretty much what we're gonna get.

I'm looking forward to him but as we've only just got Kit Fisto I don't bank on seeing him until December anyway in the EU.

There's no way they can mess up the paint on Maul, if they did they would officially be labeled the retarded painters. It's just some red and black besides the horns and the eyes, and we know they can do the eyes well.

I'm excited, unforunately I might have to cancel my inclusive probe droids, but I think that's better than canceling a whole figure.

I have a feeling that Sideshow's Maul will be fine, even with the intricate tatooing of the face. Hasbro's versions were actually pretty good and Sideshow's can only come out even better.

Make 2 red ones how you normally would then cut a slot for the wires (assuming they normally come out of the bottom of the hilt) so they can exit out the side of the bottom while still being able to glue the 2 together. Run the wires up his hand/sleeve.

Not that i have any idea if this would actually work mind you.

For some reason I'm just not that excited about this (which is weird because I love Maul). Don't get me wrong, I really want him, but I'm just not dying with anticipation like I am Obi or even Qui-Gon.

The paint apps on this shouldn't be anything to worry about as long as they get the pattern correct.
