This thread/poll almost makes me wish TDK was a comic book movie so I could compare them.

Tough to say but here is my input on this topic.

I usually base my choice with these types of comparisons on which movie I could rewatch more. My choice as of now would The Avengers. I enjoyed the overall character interactions much more and the movie was a lot more fluid and it felt like one whole movie, where TDK to me, feels like two movies in one.

Re: Avengers VS Dark Knight

What the heck, submitted my vote. This thread should be interesting :lol

Understatement of the year. :lol

For me, these two are two totally different 'beasts.' Both mastered their approach/technique though. If it was a question of two movies, same characters, which did it better, etc.....I'd say things might be more clearly defined, but this will boil down to a Marvel vs. D.C. debate, I presume.

one thing is certain though.... that spiderman movie cant compete with these 2.

:lecture I'm not really interested in seeing the new Spiderman, but that's just my bitterness about the reboot so soon. It does look good in the sense that it really looks like a better adaptation of the comics.

The Avengers was funner.

The Dark Knight is the better movie.

What hurts Avengers for me is The Phantom Menace ending and including lame ducks Fury, Hawkeye and Black Widow.

i think it would've helped if fury bleeped a lot. not even a mother____er. :/

I refuse to vote. Too tough to call right now. Though TDK kinda drags a bit toward the end in a way that Avengers doesn't....

:slap My God, stupid post of the day.

As a comic fan I enjoyed The Avengers more. For me TDK is not really a comic book movie and is not true to how the writers wrote Batman. Its very much Nolans vision and is brilliant. But if I were to chose it would be Avengers.

Agree with first part

Could argue all day about 2nd part :lol

You think TDK is a reflection of the comics? BTW I love the movie but its an action movie which Batman and the Joker just happen to be in. Not saying a comic book version would be any more successful or not.

Avengers by far... Anyone sayin otherwise is a trisomic.

Easy choice for me. And I know you all know what I chose. I just didn't have any connection to TDK and I was praying it would end as soon as it began. Much like the Cap A. movie.

But every movie and character has their fans. TDK has plenty of em, I'm just not one of them.

:slap My God, stupid post of the day.

How was it stupid?

Phantom Menace = Anakin destroys control ship and robots instantly stopped, heroes win.

Avengers = Iron Man destroys control ship and robots instantly stopped, heroes win.

Or are you refering to Hawkeye, Black Widow and Fury?

Yea, Fury wasn't that bad but the other two are pointless in a movie like this. BW super power is a pair of Glock 9mms and hawtness. Hawkeye has super powers untill he runs out of arrows. :lol

what's this crap now. :lol

I'm going to cheat!

Avengers/BB/TDK are tied for best superhero movies. :mwaha

Sorry, but Nolan's movies are indeed regarded as superhero movies.

Now if you put a gun on my head and force me to break the tie, well, it depends on who's holding the gun. :lol

If void, then BB

If Buffygirl, then Avengers

:lol

P.S. I voted for Avengers when void sneezed while holding the gun. :yess:

Consider it me then.

I will make a pic of my head on Widow's body as she points her gun.

Avengers by a mile for me.

It's funny that after 3 years of listening to "TDK is the greatest comic book movie ever" now suddenly it shouldn't be compared to other comic book movies. :lol

I think it's a reflection of the comics in terms of the characters and what they represent. In particular, the relationship between Batman and Joker I think is handled pitch perfectly, the interrogation scene is a perfect embodiment of that.

Though I will enjoy TDKR, Avengers takes the cake. Joss Whedon is just king.
