Considering a lot of the crap posted in the TDKR thread it is nothing to brag about.

Well it depends on what your definition of "crap" is, and how that definition differs from the same stuff posted in the Avengers thread.

And here it is. Now the topic has reached its nadir. "One thread is longer than the other!" REALLY???

Anyway, of course the TDKR threads are bigger... This place is still inundated with a ton of "TDKids" that joined the boards en masse in 2008. They're mostly still here. Kind of like what happens with the U.S. borders in the Southwest.

Who's to say who is a TDKid / Nolancompoop or not? It seems like you're implying that they are skewing the post count numbers in TDKR's favor. Except that it's not just the "TDKids"...there's plenty of posts covering the wide range of opinions from strong like to those who strongly dislike.

I just added up the raw numbers. All it shows is which franchise is discussed more on this one messageboard. It says nothing about which is the "better" franchise. Just like the poll on the top of this page, and just like the raw box office numbers...both of which Avengers has clearly won.

I just came home from watching The Avengers. I REALLY enjoyed it. A simple plot with intense action. A leave your brain at the door type flick. As a fan of Transformers, I appreciate that LOL. It also really brings up the fact that comparing this and TDK is ridiculous. They are two completely different movies with two completely different intentions.

I think TDKR and Amazing Spider-man may be a more fair comparison based on the previews. I avoided TDKR info/trailers like the plague but couldn't look away when they started on the big screen.

On a side note...I think Bruce Banner stole the show...not the Hulk...Bruce Banner. Funny without it feeling forced

It's similar to the question: What's the point of having another black character when we've already got Static Shock, Steel etc..

Still, people are naturally born Black, Hispanic, Asian, Arabic, Jewish, etc. Being gay comes along as a choice, no matter how much some try and act like they just so happened to naturally like the same gender.

Though, I do feel sad for those who become gay after being mentally scarred from rape. I know someone (a guy) who was raped twice in his life by two of his moms "boyfriends" when was young. It flat out scarred the living hell out of him, and confused him beyond belief.

I'm not going to walk around bashing people just because they like the same sex; they're still people like everyone else. I think i've grown past that now, but I shall ALWAYS love the ladies only.
