They snatched several marvel actors and jokes and made Skull Island which sucked ass.

I think people don't discuss it because we've heard it all; DC Comics dude is in charge and writes script with Affleck, script is great, no it's not, we're getting there, I'm not gonna do it, ok I'm gonna do it, Terrio rewrites, rewrites this, rewrites that, got director! No we don't, oh nevermind, we do, more rewrites! Rewrites for everyone! Plot is amazing, executives give standing applause, rumor says lots of hand wringing among execs.... Leaked plot, leaked plot B, leaked plot B-2, we got 20 movies planned! Ok maybe less... Green Lantern wink wink wink, etc etc for 4 ****ing years non-stop..

I think people are fed too much information about well everything today. In the past all I knew was Michael Keaton is playing Batman, Jack Nicholson is playing the Joker and then the movie came out. Any drama behind making the flick didn't matter.

And you're basing this on one great yet criminally underrated movie (MOS), one solid yet divisive movie (BvS) & one mediocre movie the GA loved (SS)?

Sounds to me like you've already convinced yourself that they don't have faith in their characters despite this cinematic universe just starting four years ago.

Personal thought (not directed at the poster above):

*I wanna live in a world where people don't allow critics to form opinions for them. Where everyone waited to see Trank's FF before bashing it instead of going to see it just to bash it. A world where people went to see BvS opening night excited instead of giggling at the low score it had on RT as they waited in line. A world where people stop wishing the collapse of this DCEU with every post and instead WAIT to watch the movies that are coming out this year that could very well be good. A world where people stop acting like the MCU is the perfect approach to CBMs because for ****'s sake, it isn't and hasn't delivered anything strong since 2014.

But who am I kidding? DCEU threads will never cease to be awful.

Not quite my friend. im basing it on the fact that these characters should of been made as movie properties already. WB said themselves that WOnder woman or a flash movie wouldn't work so thats why they never made it... until now that is.

Also people were excited for BVS until well they showed that is wasn't a batman vs superman movie but more of a Set up movie like Iron man 2 was. It didn't focus on two heroes fighting eachother it tried to build up a world and cram in a story arc that should never have been thought up yet.
Yea you have some haters out there but the DCEU deserves the hate it gets. MOS besides the fights scenes was a joke. Superman is supposed to be a corny happy go lucky all american hero from space. Now he's some somber downer who doesn't know what he wants in life and committed suicide.
BVS had alot of hype and then the trailer dropped with doomsday and thats when it was made clear. They weren't trying to make a batman V superman movie it was just a warm up Justice league movie.
I don't care if you're not convinced. i love these characters but the way they are treated as of now sucks.




That's the sound of people putting there trust in the franchise. Nobody cared that MOS was a sub par movie they expected this movie to be great by this name alone and it didn't. The hype was real.

Preach bro! Nonetheless, if the DCEU would just stick to the comics/source material, instead of reinventing the wheel and allowing these producers/directors/actors to take liberties and make the story or characters their own, there would be no hate.

but then you get people that say "Whats the point of adapting a comic page for page to the screen? thats stupid, if I wanted to see the same story i will stick to the comic, if you make a movie I want to see something new"

I have seen people bring that up when talking about comic movies in general. I Hate them

Marvel Studios takes a whole lot of liberties and reshapes characters in their own vision... yet no hate.

I have seen people bring that up when talking about comic movies in general.
