Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

It's very simple really.

Affleck won't agree to a **** movie . Reeves' movie has his attention*because*its an R-rated one-off (like*Logan).

It's the other stuff the morons at the studio keep showing to him that's making him wanna run for the hills. He probably reached an ultimate level of disgust when watching WW.

Ehhh.....he agreed to suicide squad. .. AND batman v Superman.....

:dunno

BvS is not a bad movie. It's a movie people online agreed to believe was bad because it was the bandwagon thing to do. It's society at it's worst. The same society that thinks movies like Ant-Man & Civil War are great movies.

I agree- to me BvS stands above most of these type of films. Then again I liked TDKR.

CW wasn't bad but wasn't that impressive to me- but it's story-arc motivations are key to why it breaks down for me

Are you sweet talking me?

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Idk. I thought Batman v superman was a horrible movie. I wanted it to be good but it was just a very bad movie

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Bvs was great especially the ultimate edition, people talked about it being drugged out. But it had to, civil war was a lot worse because it just jumped into action and you had to ask why the are fighting in the first place and how they assembled teams out of thin air. At the airport how did that even make sense

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Just been watching BvS UE again, and damn, I really, really like this movie.
The photography is beautiful, the action sequences are great, there are some amazing scenes and moments in it. It's just such a great slow burn of a movie. All these little moments building up to that final confrontation, how Luthor orchestrates every little detail to pitch Batman against Superman, and all the while they have no clue that he knows exactly who they are.
The entire opening sequence, as Wayne runs helplessly through the destruction of Metropolis and sees first-hand the power of these aliens... no superhero movie had ever shown something like that.
The news montage showing how the world and the media try to cope with with the idea of such a being among us, it's unique.
And there's great acting in it: how Wayne (or rather Batman) goes from "I'm a slightly drunk womanizer" to "I'm dead serious" in a heart beat is fantastic.
What a shame people and critics couldn't look past the movie's flaws to see just what a great and unique thing Snyder and the entire production gave us.

It's a shame people give mediocre movies a pass. I think the critics punish movies that have flaws in them harshly, but are willing tok let mediocre movies slide.

I would love to know why WW is such an amazing movie that it deserves a fresh rotten tomatoes score. Is good but they make it seem like it's amazing . For me amazing is mad max fury road, it was intense well out together movie first class movie . The rest of these movies are average . BvS had such great potential it's in the execution were it went wrong . I like but I am not oblivious to it's faults . I just wish these critics were not so biased . If movies like the force awakens can skip on by and nobody states the obvious copy of new hope.it or they don't care . They why should we expect thrm.to be fair

People today are dumb. Critics today are dumb. When you make an intelligent CBM you take the risk of dumb people deeming your intelligent CBM "horrible." It's the only way they can feel better about not being able to understand it. This happened to Kubrick with 2001. Everyone thought he made a stupid pretentious movie at the time now it's considered to be one of the greatest movies of all time. Same thing happened to Leone with his westerns in the 60s. Critics thought they were crap. Now they're worshipped by every established filmmaker around the world.

BvS is horrible to dumb people. Not to anyone who bothered to follow the plot, pacing, themes and tone.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

:slap... Just like Fox & Tranks amazing and thought provoking rendition of FF. It was Oscar worthy and all the dumb people and critics didn't get it. Only a true film connoisseur and an intelligent person could possibly understand the intricacies of the plot, pacing, themes and tone..... :)

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

Nobody ever said that about Trank's FF though.

Literally nobody. I mean, besides you, just now, in jest. Not even Sknit, hell! Not even Pturtle.

Re: The Batman film directed by Matt Reeves...again

And I finally just saw Spider-Man homecoming tonight. I seem to recall all the actors and people involved at Marvel swearing that Zendaya's character wasn't MJ for months after rumours and leaks.... How'd that work out?? ..."Michele?... My friends call me MJ". So I guess they weren't lying either?? Can't hurt ticket sales and offend potential fans and movie goers before the movie comes out..

:rotfl... just poking. But seriously, did you ever read his posts in the FF thread? He was like the movies biggest supporter and used similar examples of how people didn't get it, and listened to the reviews instead of watching it for themselves. All those people were dumb too. It's one thing to like a movie others don't, but don't insult people by calling them dumb. I can't recall too many people that don't like BvS insulting those that do by calling them dumb. By those standards 80% of people who saw that movie are dumb.
