I just hope the grittiness of this movie is not as lame as the bank guy getting shot in the knees in TDK.

OK, here comes the Bat-hype.

I think it will topple the Spider-Man hype... although whether the movie is good enough to support the hype over time is still at question.

Batman is much bigger than Spider-Man.

I mean, if Oreos are touting Batman, the hype train is here. Pop Tarts next. Then Cheerios. Nothing will ever be quite like that bat signal logo on the black baseball caps though in 1988-89.

I dare Oreos to put Gordon on the bag.

Can’t compare the two buddy. One was the last installment in a trilogy that starred legacy characters that added more hype.

the other is a reboot to a character that’s been done and now has to prove itself yet again . Also you have loser Snyder bots that will probably hate the movie and people stuck on twilight that hate on Pattinson. Then you have just angry bat nerds mad at change .

True -- NWH had ALL the Spider-Man.

If this new Batman had ALL the Batmen, it would have been super-hype for the last 3 years.

I like how worned the costume looks. The small cracks on the cowl and overall discoloration on the suit gives this costume a real world feel that I haven't seen in previous films. It makes bit seem like he only has one suit, and that's it. I don't know why, but he looks very young, even in full costume you can tell he's in his early years, so I look forward to seeing him age a bit and evolve into the seasoned Batman with a plethora of costumes and gadgets.

Topple as in next big movie event then yes. But box office suggests Spider-Man > Batman.

Add in Avengers movies and JL appearances, Batman is destroyed.
