A good summary of the investigation here and how it not only took inspiration from the Zodiac killer, but ****** Bulger too.

Also, the Riddler website is counting down to something:

It’s probably counting down to when the leaked ending of The Flash will be available for Clown and Wor-Gar to enjoy lol

They be like…

:lol Batman closeups were phenomenal..but everyone else .. c’mon a bit overkill. Reeves there is no shame in displaying scenes in far full shots of characters together in a scene. Especially scenes when the Batman showed up, I would like to see how the people’s full body reactions were, namely the thugs he beat up

I don't know that it's 'cobbled together' -- just early and unrefined, but it's bulletproof, saved him from lethal electrocution and filled with emergency safety features. Batman *is* a cape. Can't have a Bat with no Cape.
Having grown up with Batman Beyond, I could see a capeless Bat. At least for this stage in his journey.

Or maybe it would make more sense for him to ditch it later, when he has the experience to know it's not practical. A mere two years in, he might still think it's necessary for his image.

Either way, I'm just not a fan of it. He's already got this bulky, padded, practical suit and the cape doesn't fit that concept IMO. It worked with some of the other Batman costumes since they were more comic book-y, but Pattinson's Bats is like a SWAT ninja.

LOL... Googled. He was very handsome back in the day. I'm not up on my French cinema.
He was just such a big icon that I find it weird that someone hasn't heard fo him. But then again, I doubt the current youngins on the street know who he is anyhow, so that era is dead and gone already. I don't like this passage of time...

Could never get into it unless you count the one figure skater I dated.

(Seriously, she was a lovely, fun girl. We still talk -- married with kids now).
I'm not the biggest fan, but I always check it out when there's an event. It's just so fascinating to me how they can land all those spins.

I think a lot of us do. Ballet and Opera (just to name two) are amazing, although I came to them years after theatre.
I hope so. I meet far too many people who are just walkings cliches. The NPC meme used to be just a joke, but many "people" are like that.

I liked it. It fits that Martha is psycho and now her son is psycho :lol.

The Hush nod with the Thomas Wayne info dump was cool to see. Was an interesting angle to play in the middle of a murder mystery. Kind of went off on the side road a little, but it brought back Alfred and revealed more Bruce. It showed that no one is innocent in this Gotham and it fit right in. A Hush/Clayface combo would be cool to see.
I hope they actually do bring in Hush and have something interesting in store. I still think the idea is neat, though back in the day I was pissed it wasn't Jason and was just the new OC everyone saw coming.

Hush's design is just cool enough for me to care about him popping up. I've said it before, but I'd love to see them tackle Andrea/Phantasm. A Hush/Owls/Phantasm movie could be great. Although I am bummed that they'll probably never get to Ras/Talia/Damian.

The most interesting box office I am looking forward to is The Flash. Can an Ezra lead movie do bank? Will people care about Affleck now? Keaton's return big enough to care about?

The only thing I was curious about was seeing what they did with Keaton's Batman ... while that curiosity remains I don't think I'll bother with the theatre and just wait for streaming.

Just got back from watching it.

Pattison might just be the best on screen Batman so far. He does a lot while seemingly doing little. He uses his eyes a lot, and along with the terrific lighting, he's able to emote to great effect, without coming across as emotional. The script helps tremendously, because the way the character is used as a detective allows Pattison to be interesting, imo. His relationship with Gordon is similar to BB, so it's more or less perfect. The suit also works well and looks good enough at times that one hour into the film, I felt the urge to buy a HT figure...damn it!!

Colin Farell was my favorite villain. He should play a larger role in the sequel. Best Penguin so far.

Dano was good, but that mask really restricted his performance, but he still managed to use his voice to great effect. Dano was great once he was without the mask.

Catwoman was Catwoman. The actress is very sexy. That one scene when she's changing into her cat outfit and she's in her underwear was too quick, but sexy. She was likable and somewhat believable physically.

Gordon was about as good as Gary Oldman's version.

John Turturo as Falcone was good too.

Alfred sucked, as usual. In fact, I used two Alfred scenes for bathroom breaks.

The movie had the best Batmobile introduction and sequence ever. I literally shed a tear watching it. It might be the first time the Batmobile is used as a tool of fear. That thing was a beast.

The action was fine, not amazing.

The music was good. I even liked the Batman theme. If judgement day had a sound, it would be that music every time Batman shows up.

The detective part of the story was good enough. I was never bored with it. However, the film is about 20 to 25 minutes too long. I looked at my watch two hours in, and there was still one hour left.

The film is one giant pancake, deliciously good for a good time, but by the end of the film, you are kind of sick of it and strangely satisfied too. The ending or third act is a bit underwhelming, probably because the film is too long, and the main threat is not really in the picture at that point.

In some ways the film is the best Batman film ever, but the length, the main villain, and third act keeps it from being as good of a film as TDK, Batman Begins, and even Rises, from a structure and filmmaking perspective, given that the film feels like 3 hours and doesn't have that high emotional point in the third act.

The Joker cameo still sucked. Context or out of context, it's cringy.

I like the film. Not sure I want a HT dollie yet.

8/10

It's up there with all the Nolan films and best Burton suff.

I like Affleck and curious what they will do with him. 2 Ezras and Supergirl I wouldn't go see by itself. I think Keaton's part will be cool.

Nice. Glad to know you liked it.

I used Alfred as a Bathroom timeout also. :lol Maybe that's why they wrote him in the script :lol

You still like them Burton films huh?

Yup, THANK YOU Alfred.

Yeah, they look cool, and the villains chew the scenery, so I find the movies entertaining.

Ah yes -- after my time.

Honestly that may be a hard sell. At that point he's ... Daredevil?

I hated the suit before the fim but I've warmed up to it ... even though I would have preferred it be a little more streamlined and less SWAT.

Was the guy that played the Joker in the film during the funeral scene? When Bruce Wayne arrives at the funeral and he's outside, a cop or some young guy gave Bruce something, and the guy looked a lot like the Joker actor. Am I the only one that noticed that guy?
