The Batman (June 25, 2021)

I honestly still feel like this movie is everything a comic book adaptation should strive to be and it blows my mind that people are letting the realism overshadow the fact that Matt Reeves made a film that cohesively took elements of Year One, The along Halloween, Earth One, Zero Year, and, even, The Telltale Game series and simultaneously set up The Long Halloween, again, Dark Victory, No Man’s Land, and, potentially, even Venom. The entire plot of this movie was one big set-up for Two-Face/Harvey Dent. The current DA gets his head blown off, there’s no way after the Falcone confession that Sal Maroni’s case isn’t dismissed with prejudice, Falcone’s death is likely to leave a battle between not only Maroni and Penguin, but, potentially, Sofia Gigante and Alberto and/or Mario Falcone, if they introduce them, as I suspect they will. I’m hyped.

Italian mafia in cinema bores me I much prefer government institutions now you know the legal mafias.

I really hope they put in freeze in the next film and scarecrow . Bring in characters they either need redemption or haven’t been used to there full extent. I still think a mystery with a villain like clayface would be outstanding

For me, shapeshifting is too "magical" for a real world Batman where the Riddler is a Zodiac killer and the Penguin is a Soprano's knock-off.

This is fun.

Anyway, finally saw the movie. Overall, I liked it. Although, I'd say the tension sort of died a bit when Bruce confronted Alfred. At least it picks up again. The Batsuit doesn't look bad under all the low light. It hides the seams on the cowl and makes the armor look similar to the Arkham Knight design. It's a plus that most of the shots are the upper body so you don't get to see the ugly bat pants. The gauntlets are an eyesore. as was said here, the Batmobile is the highlight; it's long but for me, the last act is fine. Zoe feels like a good Catwoman when she acts as Catwoman but as Selina, I'm not sold on it. Still part of the Zoe is not hawt club.

Define "the ending" since it had like four of them, lol.

Either way I loved it all, no complaints.

If I had to pick a single nitpick it was the cartoony crash landing he did after gliding down from the building but that's it! Otherwise the whole thing was near perfection!
