Jack Frost was way after Batman, you’re thinking of Mr. Mom. That’s all Keaton was known as before Batman. People would say “The dude that played Mr.Mom is Batman? What a joke!”
LOL, I still think it's a joke....but I can accept it. Especially after seeing how Kilmer and Clooney performed. I blame the director and producer more there.

Both of Bales suits are better.

Don’t get me wrong I really enjoyed The Batman, It’s just in no way the best Batman film for me.
And likewise us saying that we prefer such and such in The Batman doesn't mean that we don't like or love any number of similar elements in prior films. We've now had what six live-action Selina Kyles (going back to 1966) and I like them all, even if I put Kravitz at the top. And before somebody mentions Halle Berry keep in mind I said Selina Kyle not Catwoman, lol.
Suit- BvS or Batman begins
Batmobile - Burtons
Action- BvS or The dark knight
Villain- Definitely the Dark knight (I’m not sure how this one can even be debated lol)
Bruce and Alfred- much better in begins or TDK
Penguin and Catowman- Batman Returns, both were stand out performances that are still heavily referenced today
Heath Ledger's performance was brilliant but as a character I thought he suffered from a lame master plan with the ferries and the killing of Michael Jai White off camera with no residual blood or even an appropriate accompanying sound effect was just dumb. TB's Riddler might not have reached the singular height of the TDK interrogation scene but he had an awesome master plan (and the most competent one since Arnold froze Gotham, lol) and his personal kills were handled much better IMO. Those are a couple reasons I found him to be a more consistently solid character.

Obviously if you want to distill the two characters to just cultural impact, iconography, or appearance or what have you I can easily see someone putting Ledger Joker far above TB Riddler. But based on my criteria I prefer the latter.

Main villain = best in The Batman

O right. Yea that’s the movie

My 75 year old dad just texted me that he finally saw this at the theater today.

He often sends me hilariously blunt reviews. Case in point, here's his old email after he saw The Force Awakens:

"I thought it was OK. Quite the secret keeping the death of Han Solo quiet.

Didn't think much of the black guy or the girl. Seems like something was left out as to why the girl had the 'force'."

I asked what he thought of The Batman, his response:

"Nonstop, fast moving. It would suck watching on the TV."

:rock

But you left out the part where he said "But someone turn on the damn lights in this movie, it was so damn dark I couldn't see anything."

Well, it's not daylight, it's dawn, so still pretty gloomy. You wouldn't drive your car without your lights on during that scene.

Heck, the entire final act of The Dark Knight Rises has Batman running about at 2 in the afternoon.
I chuckled thinking about this lol. It is a bit ridiculous having Batman running around during office hours

Yeah the climax of TDK could’ve been a lot better, but the same can be said for the Batman. I found the Riddlers master plan to be “awesome” too up until the flooding of Gotham bit at the end. That felt really forced. He finally got what he wanted and exposed the deep corruption in Gotham and then instead of targetting the corrupt he tries to kill everyone…? The entire third act fell flat for me. I still enjoyed the movie as a whole.

I liked when Catwoman said “you really don’t care what happens to me when I go in there tonight do you” and Batman looks at her all soothing like grabs her chin and says “look at me” and she thinks he will say he does care and all he says is “Yeah the contacts look good” and turns away.

lol

Yeah I thought that was a (sort of) funny moment, I thought that he was going to be tender to her, but he carries on like business as usual.

He was so detached from the emotions of others for a good portion of the movie. Stares down the traumatized mayor's son while dressed as a demon, telling Selina the contacts look good, and then when Alfred comes out of his coma he sees Bruce sitting there and is all "wow he does care" and then the first words out of Bruce's mouth are to call him a liar, lol.

Agreed!

I’d be strongly tempted to get figures of any of the supporting characters. Catwoman, Penguin, Riddler, Gordon.

Ledger is good, no doubt. But not the best Joker and, in my mind, not the best Batman villain. I think Nicholson and Hamill are both a better Joker/villain than Ledger 🤷‍♂️
