You guys got the biggest movie forum boards closed with your constant marveltard trolling!

Re: Matt Reeves Batman film

my favorite superhero movie is TDK

Which is bizarre given that the tone and quality of the current MCU isn't remotely close to TDK.

Its like being treated to prime rib for dinner but instead choosing to get a hamburger at Checkers.

Not from where I'm standing mate. The DC Dudebro army is far bigger. Have you seen the "Army" over at ComicBookMovie? Them twats have their anthem an' ****e. Marveltards and DC Dudebros alongside the FoxMen prudes should just go an' jump off a bloody cliff I say. Off themselves and rid us of their presence. And hey, no Marveltard is as crazy as "Andre":

Re: Matt Reeves Batman film

It just occurred to me that your favorite intellectual properties from your childhood that you've always dreamed of seeing in awesome movies are: Superman, GI Joe (specifically Zartan and Flint,) X-Men, Fantastic Four, and Transformers. Brutal.
[emoji38] True, though I also was a fan of Batman and several other Marvel comics--particularly Spiderman and West Coast Avengers. And of course, I like several X-men movies quite a bit. But you can understand how I've been beaten down and become a bit cynical toward the whole enterprise here. Transformers, GI Joe, FF, and Superman have all been disgraces in recent years. Feige should take over every one of those properties.

I don't think he's right for everything, mind you. Not for Batman, Daredevil, X-men, Swamp Thing, Sandman, etc. And as I think more about it, probably not for GIJoe, either. But FF and Superman? They would fit in the mcu universe like a glove.

He's good for Super-Heroes and Kirby-era Fantastic Four. Period. The MCU is a modern take on old, not-so-serious stories from books about folks in underwear. Anybody expecting anything more is a contrarian just for the sake of it. It was never supposed to be "mature", to use a word the "intellectuals" throw around. It was always supposed to be a way to have fun for a couple of hours and see the heroes from your childhood brought to life. And it's done that. But nah, we better expect million dollar summer flicks based on caped heroes in bright costumes to explore the themes of mortality, religion, faith, the human element...

You know what it is SNIK, I can totally appreciate the complexities infused into TDK while simultaneously giggling like a little girl when Hulk smashed Loki because I don't think of myself as being above enjoying silly moments like that just because it has a few layers less of adult drama.

Afterall some of these characters are colorful superheroes who sometimes do silly colorful stuff, not every piece of cinema requires deep metaphysical geopolitical transformigation, it's ok to relax sometimes and just have fun watching Cap throw his shield.

Movies are also meant for escapism from the stress of real life, so where is the crime if the MCU doesn't offer the same level of complexities of TDK, tell me where is the harm in that, who is it hurting?

Fun SNIK, it's ok to have fun in the theater you know.

Re: Matt Reeves Batman film

O come on now . What are you all fighting about? They both have immense problems

1 is to reliant on heavy cg, lost most of its characters so it's trying to boost up c list heroes. Horrible at villains , always fighting an army at the end. When Robert Downey leaves you might as well kiss the mcu good bye.

2. Tries way to hard to play catch up. It's to reliant on one guy who made like 2 decent movies. Doesn't understand it's characters. Isn't fun whatsoever.

3. Which is fox wants to keep the rights so bad they are quick to pump now mediocre films and screwed the universe up so bad the interest in the franchise is dying.
