Store-rooms issued a prompt refund to me with a note thanking me for letting them know about our project. (He seemed to know of SSF.) Said he was wondering why everyone was ordering the same guitar.

Anyway, he knows there's a market...time will tell whether he can get any more of them.

Nice guitars P! Anychance of some pics with 1:6 figs?

Like a TDK Cavern Shot? I'll maybe take a shot with a Figure for scale but I'm recommendeing ALL get the Rik and Gretsch before they're gone too. As far as someone else doing 6th scale, there is that possibility, I posted all the relevant info on the previous page. Thanks to pix there is a guy willing to do a run and his paul's bass and other stuff is better and more accurate.

These however ARE much nicer than expected. I was expecting plastic with some decent detail and they are heavier pieces with mixed media, like wood guitars with real metal strings (like a very thin copper or something). The pickup detail and knobs are all added. These were obviously individually hand made. George's Gretsch is mostly a dark brown except under the strings. His hand will cover that lighter area anyway so it'll look better. I may add Rik detailing on the end, then pinstripe Paul's and it should be fine.

Here's a new pic of the Guitars in better light. You can see the detail much better here. The guitars come with metal stands and cases as you can see in the b.g., George's case has a leather strap handle, pretty cool.

Anyway, recommended. Should be a new Spenser update coming.

Those instruments look amazing! Love the real strings. Can't wait to see them with Spenser's sculpts!

yea, I'm working on it!

 :rock

Me neither. ;)

I detailed John's Rick 325 by adding the Rickenbacker Tag from a pic I found so the lettering is 100% Accurate. Came out pretty well I think and just got me more pumped about this whole project. Instructions and notes on how I made it are this below the pic...

First I found a pick and saved and cropped it. Then I printed the pic out on my Windows PC by choosing the option "contact sheet" and printed 5 copies out as you can see in front of the guitar in pic. Then I taped over one pic with scotch tape, cut it out and slid it between the strings and fit it in place. And because the source is a pic, the logo lettering is dead accurate. You can see it almost matches the ref pic. Anyway, cool mod.

This was as big as I could get it with the tools I have but some of you may be able size it a bit bigger. But even at this size it barely fit between the knobs above the top frett, width wise. If anyone wants a copy of the pic, PM me and I'll send it along.

If I can do this anyone can. :lol

any updates on the heads?

Steven is working on it. I think he already posted on this page. :D

"Beatle Boots" came in today. I got 4 pair. I think they are as close as we can expect to get in 6th scale as they have the Cuban heels and pointy toes. Here's a quick snap.

I can't help but wonder how much it would cost to get the complete set, with accurate clothing and accessories......ouch.

I know I'm really going to start getting jealous once I see people having completed figures on here :lol. Maybe next year when I have some money (forgotten what that stuff is lately lol) I'll get around to getting some of these for myself...

Anyone get their drums yet?

OMG, my Drumset came TODAY! If I have time I'll try to snap a few pics and post here. This set is amazing. All metal cymbols, adjustable opening stand legs and the foot pedals actually work! Very sturdy and detailed Set. I got mine from asselerate on ebay. The drumsticks were like 1/4 scale though, not really worried about that. :lol

I figured you'd post yours before I could get pictures of mine, even though I've had it for abut 3 weeks. Sorry guys, but it's pjam to the rescue. Yes, it comes with a stool, and my reaction was identical to pjam's -- the drumsticks will have to be replaced. But this drum set is great.

Thanks, Gruff. :duff

Here's a couple pics, straight out of the box, obviously NOT set up, but you can see the amazing craftmanship. My only nits are the 1/4 sticks and silver cymbols instead of bronze/brass, but an easy mod is to use an orange dry erase marker to color them. I did a test with a yellow one and it came out okay. Bottom Line: For $32 shipped, get a set! They are easily worth $60-$75 IMO.
