Any news about this project?

Not sure who's next... hopefully John. Steven is working on this and it's a big project so we need to chill for a bit. Will keep you posted with updates and 1/6 resourcing soon.

Their Guitars are very nice but NOT 1/6. They are 9.5 to 10 inches long. 1/6 Guitars should be 7.5 Inches.

Drum Set IS 1/6 and a great deal IMO.

Thank you for pointing that out. So disappointing about the scale though since all three guitars we need are right there. :banghead

Could we commission these instruments? I don't know how we will get accurate, in-scale instruments otherwise.

I asked him, after showing a pic of the store-rooms guitars. Here was his response:

i saw in picture that Rickenbacker 325 with standard version, i have same product but without stand with high 20 cm (8 inch). Guitar you looks at our ebay store that is Exclusive version with high 25 cm(10 inch). i hope this information can help you. Thank you

I would be very careful about buying any Guitars which are not specifically described as 1/6 scale.

That drumset is awesome looking! Looking forward to hearing your thoughts on it... don't really want to get a set of Beatles figures, but I'd love to have a good 1/6 kit.

Reposting Drum Kit link and pics for those who missed it. I will soon post some Beatle Boot-type shoes I found. They're not perfect, but they'll pull it off nicely IMO. It's best to have your Set Stuff in hand before the heads are ready because you'll never know where or if you'll be able to find this stuff again.

SOURCING RINGO 1/6 DRUM SET

Just picked this up on ebay... only $33 shipped with BIN. Anyway, I'll let you Guys know what I think when it comes in. There are other sets which seem to be identical for $60+ shipped so I grabbed it.

So I went ahead and ordered the drum set as well as two 1:6 guitars below (from a different seller).

So they may not be 100% accurate (I know nothing about electric guitars), but the overall aesthetics seem quite on the mark and since the seller shows them with a 1:6 scale body they will look right in terms of size.

For my favourite Beatle, George :love, who used multiple guitars:

For John, this looks close enough to the Rickenbacker 325 pictured on Wikipedia for me:

That leaves Paul and his left-handed bass to sort out (probably will need to modify an existing guitar unless something turns up.). :monkey2

For the late Beatles I want to do the Abbey Road scene, but for the early I definitely want them playing their instruments. As pjam says, get it while you can. The guitars have to be one of the most difficult things I can imagine making in 1:6 scale.

Wow, I am so excited about this project.

Those same Guitars are also offered at store-rooms and they have a Paul bass too. Where I'm getting mine.

There is also a Guy who makes 1/6 VOX Amps although he hasn't had one up on ebay recently. Again I will be sourcing this stuff for you Guys.

So far, I have 4 pair of Beatle-type boots with pointy toes and a Ringo Drum Set. Will be picking up the Guitars next. Then Bodies, then Suits. Amps last...

pjam, did you find boots with plausible Cuban heels? I'm actually thinking about Cy-Girls boots...those early boots the Beatles wore had really tall heels.

Anybody hesitating on the drum kit, pull the trigger. It's gorgeous.

Which one do you consider an appropriate bass?

This one, Bro. It's not perfect, but it's the best I've seen in 1/6 Scale and it's left handed. Will Display great. If it can be pin-striped white on the edges it'll look terrific.
