If I can hear it, I'm good. I don't need to blast the neighborhood :lol

It's not about blasting. I don't put it loud at all. It's about the sound direction and effects. When you listen to Bram Stoker's Dracula and here all the creepy sounds coming from above in his castle or The Fifth Element with it's sounds coming from above, it just sucks you into the movie that much more!!

This is what I think and why I do it.

I don't mind having the size I do as it seems quite large when you are front row and center 12' from the screen.

I've got a pretty sweet sound system, haven't gotten Atmos/DTS X yet. Planning on it though for sure. I'm pretty sure my next upgrade will be my sub, and going to multiple subs. My SVS PC13Ultra shakes the house but I want more lol.

I have 2 subs and I wouldn't go with less. For me it's not about rumbling the house but uniformity in the LFE across my room.

No doubt. I have to see how the lfe is in my new house, but currently the room nulls are all over the place. The best placement of my sub is right behind our seats, nearfield.

If you can, install acoustic panels and bass traps. I have them all over my room and it's the best thing you can do for sound, even before buying new equipment.

That's the biggest reason (other than $) that I've waited to upgrade to two subs. I'm not sure I want 2 of these water heater style cylinder subs either. I haven't used traps or treatments yet, but I'll definitely be using them in my new house. I've been researching for a while now over on the avs forum...which is awesome btw if you haven't been over there.

Been there and I'm a member, but I don't post much. A lot of condescending know-it-all entitled *********s over there that think they are someone important in life because they know a thing or two about home theatres. I stay out of conversations lol

LOL yep, but I really like reading through the dedicated theater builds for ideas and education. More for nuts and bolts construction info than whether certain speakers are "natural" or "transparent" lol.

Don't know if this was ever mentioned, and it's kinda late in the game, but there is a Night of the Living Dead Limited Edition (with both the 1968 and 1990 versions in the same set) on order right now. They are going fast but there are still some left. Region free apparently https://www.jbhifi.com.au/movies-tv...ht-of-the-living-dead-limited-edition/889426/

In the Details tab it says region B.

I might bite, but I don't see "region free" anywhere. No region free player here unfortunately. I just watched this on Amazon Prime, but blu's always better.

I already have the other NOTLD LE blu from a couple years ago

The Twilight Time one ? Apparently it sucks compared to the PQ on this one.
