For those who bought Wrath of Khan Directors Cut bluray make sure you have the yellow UPC code on the back of the box and not the white.

The white is the defective version with the messed up cut of the movie.

And if you see a white label on the shrink wrap, (under the slip) peel it off to make sure you see the yellow UPC. If you do that is fine as well.

So wait, my bad copy that WB told me was bad and they replaced was never really bad, all I had to do was peel off a sticker and it fixed the movie on the disc?!

I wonder why WB didn't just inform everyone to peel off the sticker instead of going to the trouble of spending money by sending out replacements.

Replacement disc versions have a yellow UPC printed on the cover art.

May retailers chose not to update systems and placed an white sticker over the yellow. This was found on most with the slip cover.

Did not want people seeing the white UPC sticker and immediately thinking it was a bad disc version.

To insure you have the corrected disc, just make sure the back of the actual cover art has a yellow UPC and not a white sticker on the shrink wrap.
