The price makes no sense, it doesn't add up.

Sure they can charge whatever they want, but just the movies alone doesn't add up.

Yeah. Diehard LOTR fans would use that money to buy a full sized prop replica from Weta themselves. This set doesn't even include the films people saw in theaters OR the 3D Hobbit films. This release almost couldn't be more laughable.

See above^. I consider myself one of the OG posters in the LOTR section, but I wouldn't get the set even at $200, considering I already have all the movies in one fashion or the other. At $150, I'd bite though...

Khev, technically you get the theatrical versions...via digital download.
