Hmmmm, thanks for the feedback. Will preorder still, but snag and watch my brother's copy first in case I don't like it.

If you're a ST fan and a reboot fan you will like it, the villain doesn't ruin the movie and it's the most ST of the 3.

Just not a must own for me.

Not a Trekkie, but I did enjoy the first two (which I don't own). Didn't love them though. Mainly interested in getting it as a homage to Anton Yelchin...

So many of them don't, which blows. I'm getting the Amazon one with the Franklin and the 3D & 4K discs. Not sure about the steel.

Like all other new releases I'll either impatiently buy the 3D set, or wait for a UHD/3D blue combo release (minus any toys to drive up the price).

Yup! And, IMO, it's like Into Darkness for me and gets better with more viewings.

I've never owned any Star Trek film on any home video format and don't plan to start anytime soon. Haven't seen Beyond yet, like Trek 2009 and Into Darkness I'll wait for it to show on FX.
