So Walmart's TFA exclusive had a similar style case with the fold out BB8. Was the Target exclusive of TFA similar to their Rogue One exclusive with the interchangeable covers?

Target's version comes with a DVD exclusive content, which is not included with the other offerings.
Still debating whether I want that over a steel book case.

That K2SO flip-out cover is hilarious.
They should have made it so that the six characters behind his head stand up like a flip-up book. :lol

:lol :lol :lol

I would never change the covers on a dvd case, hands and heads on my action figures yes, but not on a dvd case. :lol

I use custom art all the time in my cases. A lot of times the art is VERY lame especially on badly photoshopped covers and the older style ones with the silver sweep.

Ordered BB Steelbook. I didn't want to risk missing out on the 3D version.

Is there any insight into what the content is on Target's bonus disc?

I still think the Steelbook looks lame, would have much prefferred the poster art for the Steelbook. Kind of surprised they didn't continue the character art like they did with the past releases, which I didn't like either.

Yeah that extra video fluff is always useless.

The reality is there will never be another bts video to match what TPM and LOTR gave us.

You will never see a truthful documentary on the bts drama from TFA and RO, it's all just promotional fluff.

Just give me the movie.

If it's anything like the Target Exclusive Les Miserables, the interchangeable photos/"covers" go behind the slip cover, not the actual case itself.

I hope BB's Steelbook looks different, not too crazy about both of their steel Star Wars offerings. But very happy 3D will be released at the same time, just wish this set looked as nice as the 3D TFA set.

Yeah, the 3D version was nice...my only minor "gripe" is that the dimensions were not the same as a "regular" Blu-ray. The case is slightly "taller".

I'm thinking that the character art will be relegated to the numbered episodes when they come out in steel.

I wonder if there will eventually be a regular, non exclusive 3D release for RO?

Maybe include some deleted scenes, which we know there must be a ton of.

Yeah, there has to be, considering the re-shoots.

Already ordered the steel, and am considering getting the Target exclusive as well.
