My understanding was that the conversion resolutions ended up higher than that, but with film since it's not as clean as digital there's a point where you're not really getting anything more in a higher resolution.

It's not solely dependent on just using film, has a lot to do with equipment and lenses too.

I've only purchased some of those Steelbooks because they were the only way to get the 3D version. Rogue One and Guardians 2 come to mind first.

Those were solid. Everything else has been that Pop art style which I don't like at all.

Funny, I purchased CE3K the other day, the regular 4K was sold out at my 2 local BB's, but the Steelbook was available. Needless to say I got the Steelbook, but honestly, I didn't think that one was bad. But yeah, many of the PopArt Steelbooks are terrible.
